I haven't even seen it yet (mom has it) and I'm already aware of two problems:
1. they didn't crop a picture that was supposed to be cropped (removing one of the people in the picture). We were told this would be done.
2. they printed one of the pictures backwards! I guess they had the negative reversed. Apparently it looks normal except that my mom is on the wrong side of my uncle walking down the aisle (and the people in the background switch sides from one picture to the next).
I so want to be done with all this. Should I let this go? Or have it fixed. I'm afraid to actually see the album and find out what else is wrong...
But I'd want to go to them with all problems at once, so I have to see the album or go through it with my mom on the phone. Maybe have her take pictures of the pages.
I have knots in my stomach just thinking about it and the aggrevation of getting it fixed...
(the album is the kind with removable mats, so they don't proof beforehand. Pictures can be fixed on an individual basis)

Re: Album problems...
If you can fix the pictures, I would. Wait till you see the album before calling the studio though.

Re: Album problems...
Definitely get it fixed ... im sure your photographer wants you to be 100% happy and it sounds like the problems are relatively easy to correct.

Re: Album problems...
Fix it! You paid good money for your album. Why expect anything less than great? Also, mistakes happen and that is why PAGE PROOFS are so important. Before your album is bound INSIST on looking at each photo and the order.

Re: Album problems...
I would defintely speak up. With all the money you spent, I wouldnt let it go. Hopefully your photographer will be more accomadating than mine. I had a slight disatisfaction with my album and was personally attacked in many ways when I told them of my unhappiness. Hopefully if you do bring this to their attention they will handle it in a professional manner. Good luck!

Re: Album problems...
I just asked a friend thats coming to visit in a few weeks to bring it out with her. I don't want FedEx or the Post Office to lose it.
I'll decide once I see it, though I'm leaning towards the fix especially since there's the other problem too. Having the guy (my cousin that I'm not so close to) in the photo isn't so bad, but he's got a big head and the rest of the group are all close friends.

Re: Album problems...
I would definitely take a look at it yourself and find any problems...They spelled my name wrong on the cover of my album and one picture the color was totally off and not acceptable. They told me they would fix it no problem, which of course they should. I would be 100% happy with your photos Lisa or else you will remember that every time you look at the album for years to come. Re: Album problems...
I've posted before about all of my album difficulties. I finally got it (after over 2 years of waiting) and there were so many mistakes that it has to be re-printed. Most of them were small but added together, I just wouldn't be happy with it. My photog was a little upset about it but realized it was his error and is committed to getting it right. Hopefully, I'll get it back soon all corrected.
We're going on our 3rd anniversary so it will be nice to finally get it.
I would definately have the errors corrected, since you will notice them every time you look at the album.
Good luck. I hope your photographer is accommodating. Make sure you discuss it as simply an oversight on his part (or small error) and compliment the rest of the album. This way, it doesn't appear that you're completely unhappy. I'm sure they will be happy to fix it.

have it fixed! You are paying them tons of money! My photographer did the same thing. Some of my pictures were cropped wrong. In the pic where I was throwing the bouquet, I was cropped out of it! Duh. Photographers send these pics out to be printed. Sometimes only an assistant or a receptionist proofs them before you get to see them. I made them reprint a bunch of pictures.

Re: Album problems...
UPDATE: when I finally saw the album, I realized THREE problems...
I dreaded calling them and didn't want a battle, but they were very accomodating (surprisingly). YAY!
they're reprinting the 3 pics and matting them, and then I'll just slip them in (didn't want to lug the album back and forth).
