AM gym girls
I REALLY need some motivation with waking up in the am and going to the gym.I'm working crazy hours and in school so on a typical day I'll get home around 7/8, need to eat, and do HW. So the only time I can get to the gym is in the am but I'm SOOOO not a morning person.
Help!

Re: AM gym girls
What time do you have to be at work? DH is a big morning gym guy and I try to join him.Set your alarm a few mins early so you have enough time to think about WHY you're getting up early....give yourself a few mins to wake up.
For me, the hardest part is sitting up and throwing my legs over the side of the bed...once I stand up I am usually good to go!
Oh and also, lay your gym clothes out the night before!

Typically 9 and I gotta leave at 8:20 the latest (obv. I don't get in at 9 lol
). Normally I have to wake up the latest at 7:30 to leave on time. My gym is a 5-7 min. walk away lol.

Re: AM gym girls
I go to the gym at 5:15am. Its hard when you first start but you get used to it. Its so much better too because you feel great when youre done and you dont have to worry about going later on.When I first started though I hated it. Set your alarm like 30 minutes before actually having to wake up. By the time you snooze for the 3rd time youre annoyed and just want to get up ;)

I go in the mornings, but not THAT early. Seeing as I don't have to be in work usually till 11 or 12, I go to the gym around 8:45 or 9:30.Didn't go today though

Re: AM gym girls
Set up your clothes the night before and when you go to sleep, picture yourself waking up, getting dressed and heading out the door. When you've set yourself up and you get your mind in the right place, it'll be easier to stick to a routine.I have a coworker whose husband goes to the gym at 4:30 EVERY morning to get to work by 7am - never misses it. It's just part of his routine.
eta: i go to the gym in the evenings but it's part of my routine to pack my clothes so i'm all ready to go after work. if i don't do that, i usually make an excuse not to go... so if you don't have to rummage around looking for your stuff super early, it'll be easier to get going!
