Am I being a baby?

Our 1st Anniversay was yesterday and only DH's parents wished us a Happy Anniversary !! I thought maybe my mother would call or the rest of our family like sis's and brothers but noone did ! We always called everyones else on there 1st !!

Did your family call you ?

I know my parents will, but I don't think IL's will think of it. I'll just want and see. I usually send an email or text message to close friends and family.

I don't think it's something people remember like a birthday. I wouldn't take it personal, I think some people just forget the actual date.

. My in-laws were more excited about it than my parents. They wanted to celebrate with pictures and dinner at their house. (we decline but saw them the next day instead.)

Please I hardly think I am getting a call.. instead they are planning a BIG christening on our wedding anniversary wknd and if we don't go and change our plans as we already have, we will be BASHED and TRASHED.

honestly--IMO the only person responsible for saying 'Happy Anniversary' to me--is my DH. I guess everyone is different, but i never quite understood why people get upset that family members don't acknowledge the 1st wedding anniversary.

I don't mean YOU particualr vmystque--i've just seen this question posed on the boards before. i remember one particular weirdo actually sent an angry email to their ILs for not saying it--and it caused WWIII in the family.

i wouldn't think anything of it---just be happy you're married 1 year and have a baby on the way!

ITA with what your saying and I dont think I would think much of it if my family and my IL's didnt make such a fuss about our sisters and brothers 1st anniversary our parents always call us to make sure we called whoever for there 1st so maybe its just something we do in our families !! But I am definately not going to cause any drama That would be crazy !!

HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!

We left for the Bahamas on our anniversary so no one really could call us. But my mom did call at 12:00 am Other people sent us cards which was really nice of them to remember.
