Which one is smaller?

I say Town A. Someone is debating with me that it's Town B.

whoever is arguing with you is probably thinking of fractions.

1/3 of something is definitely more than 1/5 of something.

This isn't the same thing tho.

if they are going by population against size, then I can see the argument that B is smaller, as there are less people per area than A, but that the only argument I can see for it

This was my thought process for B being considered smaller, but thats all I came up with.
