Annoyed and need advice...

I Posted this under brides helping brides but probably a better question for Newlyweds....

My wedding was last month and I have to tell you that I am shocked by the number of people who did not give us a gift or even a card! I know times are tight for a lot of folks but really you can't even write me a nice card!?!

One in particular that is annoying me is my co-worker who I invited, called me and begged if she could please bring her boyfriend (who I had no clue even existed!)

Is there any proper way of approaching this or is it a lost cause?

I am truly shocked that so many didn't give that I am beginning to wonder if they just got lost? I have no idea...

Nope it didn't get lost...people just have no clue and are rude!

IMO just let it go. And certain people that couldn't even give a card I now know not to over extend myself when it comes time to reciprocate. Some people I could understand the no gift due to their financial situation..but damn not even a card?!

It's annoying as all hell....but just let it go.

Congratulations!

Throughout the process, you quickly learn a lot of things about people that aren't exposed before. And unfortunately, to some of those, they don't realize how important something as a simple congrats card means to the couple.

And for me personally, for these kind of people, it was as simple as me either cutting them out of my life, or if they were family, remembering it for future occasions. There's not much else to do really.

Definitely not much you can do...but we got gifts from our wedding through December (June wedding!). I think we had 13 groupings that didn't gift at the wedding ( out of a mixture of about 70 couple, families, and singles). But there were we few that never gave anything (3 at this point) card or gift and I will remember that

Unfortunately, there is nothing u can do now i believe... We did got people who didnt gave us ANYTHING... My husband asked One of those person and this person response was 'Of course we gave u the card!!! We put it with the Blue Hearts' THEY WERE NOT BLUE HEARTS ANYWHERE IN OUR WEDDING!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I agree with the other ladies, there's really nothing you can do. I had 2 people totally stiff us, one was a cousin from out of state who messaged me on Facebook asking if he could 'crash' my wedding!

I've learned that some people kinda s*ck, you gotta take the good with the bad.

odds are they didnt get lost. i think we had 26 non-gifters. all but two made good on some sort of gift after the wedding

i didnt say a word to anyone

Definitely let it go. That one co worker would annoy me too, but for everyone else, just be happy that they were there to spend your special day with you. Especially if they had to travel. Its really not worth it to bring it up.

Unfortunately, I think you have to let it go. We had so many people not bring gifts, and surprisingly, some people didn't show up and they didn't send gifts either.

In-laws didn't even give a card :(

it totally sucks but there is not much you can do I had a few non gifters and i just let it go
