Re: Another pic thread....post your most meaningful pic
This is a picture of DH putting my grandfather's wedding band on my finger (after some confusion and tension over his brother giving him the wrong ring to put on my finger), which he asked be given to me when he died, and, although you really can't see it, there's a conference phone on the table in front of the rabbi. My grandmother, who is still very ill, was listening to the entire ceremony from her hospital room. We had moved our wedding up to the week she was supposed to be up visiting us (before any of us even knew she was sick), so her not being there hit me really hard. The picture reminds me that both my grandmother and grandfather, neither of whom were there physically, were there with me in other ways.

Jann, I'm so glad you were able to have your grandmother on the phone for the ceremony! I know it's not how you would have preferred to have it done...but i'm sure it meant so much to her to know that you thought so much of her!

You're so sweet, Lori. It was perfect. She was already on the phone when I walked down the aisle and the rabbi made a comment about how we were in a new age of technology, blah blah blah, and I yelled into the phone, 'HI GRANDMA!' and then DH did the same thing. I can't wait to see my video!

happy stories like that make me want to cry! but a good cry!
right before our wedding, my brother was sent to Korea (Marines) and we weren't sure if he'd be back in time....luckily, he came in the day before the wedding (missed the rehearsal). During the ceremony, the reverand thanked everyone for coming to celebrate with us, and made a comment about people coming from as far away as Korea....and we all looked at Doug...it was such a special moment...it's great to watch it on the video!

Aw Jann I am so happy that you were able to do that. Though your Grandmother couldn't physically be there for your ceremony she was there in more ways than one!! I am so happy that it worked out

Re: Another pic thread....post your most meaningful pic
This is probably one of the most meaningful one because about a month or 2 before my wedding my dad was in the hospital and we didn't know if he'd be around for my wedding.
Re: Another pic thread....post your most meaningful pic
Here is one of my daddy and I....I'm the oldest daughter and have always been Daddy's girl.....and HE asked for this pic to be taken!
This one means ALOT to DH and I...I'm dancing with one of our GM brothers....he's mentally disabled, deaf, mute, AND has a heart condition....so we wanted him to come and have a great time dancing.....we invited that GM entire family...
Another of me and Daddy....my friend captured me crying and the look on my fathers' face is priceless....

Oh, good, I was worried that it was bad that my most meaningful are not necessarily with DH...
Re: Another pic thread....post your most meaningful pic
This one is memorable since everyone in it (My FIL, DH's cousin, friend and aunts) all came over from Ireland to be here for the wedding. It meant so much to DH!
