How did you sleep the night before? Very little? Were you up really late? Did you feel fully rested in the morning?
Thanks

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I slept really well, but I think that was somewhat alcohol induced. I had a bunch of wine at the rehersal dinner and then we went out to a bar (my BIL, the best man, spirited me away before midnight so Al and I wouldn't see each other on our wedding day). So I was probably in bed by 12:30 and up around 7:30. I was wide awake from being excited.
generally I have a really hard time sleeping when I'm worrying or thinking about something...

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I couldn't sleep at all. I went to bed at 12:30 am and got up at 3:30am. I didn't feel how tired I was until I got back to the hotel after the wedding.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I have such a hard time sleeping at night also (as you will notice from some of my late night posts). I think I went to bed around 2:30am and woke up about 8ish. However, I did not feel tired the day of the wedding because the energy of the day takes over and you don't even notice how tired you are. My recommendation to you is to get up real early the day before the wedding so you are tired that night.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
As it is I have trouble sleeping so I took one tylenol pm before I went to sleep and actually slept till 6:30. I was shocked. I had figures for sure I would be up all night but it worked.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
My advice is don't have anyone or anything to take care of the night before. I had a one hour massage at about 6pm then Me & my Mom & MOH had a suite at the hotel-I had a few friends over & at 10pm I asked everyone to leave. I did my night time beauty routine(including teabags on my eyes) I called Rich so we could practice our vows & then we went to bed. The snipper in DC had just started so that was on every station-I shut it off because I didn't want to hear anything that would make me anxious. I delegated all the little last minute things so I had nothing to worry about. I thought for sure I'd be up all night-but I think you've waited a long time for the day to come & you know you've planned everything perfectly, you'll sleep like a baby

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
i slept so well! i was shocked! We hung out with out of town friends at a bar (I left at 12 sharp) and I had 3 or 4 amstels. I got back to my cousins, took a half a benadryl (12.5 mg, really hardly anything, kids dose) and I laid down and was sleeping by about 1:15am, I had to get up at 8:30 and I slept right through.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I slept like a rock. I was so exhausted from the weekend activities that I went to bed around midnight, and was up at 8am fully rested for the day.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I slept while my bridesmaids were having fun drinking wine and having facials. I was ****ed that I missed out on the fun. They were shocked I didn't wake up with all the noise they were making.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I thought I was going to have trouble sleeping, but I did sleep a good part of the night. I was surprised I got as much as I did. I fell asleep to the weather channel.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I was so exhausted from two days before, rehearsal dinner, and then catering to out of town guests that arrived on Saturday, that when I finally had the chance to go to sleep (about 12), I was out! I had to wake up at 5 am too. But like Latina said, you have all this energy and it doesn't hit you that whole day and night!!!
BTW ... I got a prescription for ambien (sp?), thinking we both would need it, but decided to try to sleep without it. Sometimes sleeping pills can make you groggy!

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
About 1 month before the wedding I was having anxiety attacks and getting no sleep at night. Then it went away. The night before, I had a light dinner and drank half a packet of Theraflu (nighttime formula) dissolved in hot water. I was out cold by 10pm and I woke up at 10:45am feeling refreshed and energized. Oddly enough, it was the best night's sleep I'd had in a while.

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I made sure i did as much as possible the night before, i got to bed around 12am, but i woke up at like 4 or 5 ( i dont remember) and i saw it was all wet outside, I started to FREAK out thinking it was raining (i was getting married outside) i must have had such a panic attack that i woke up my MOH (who slept with me at my moms) but i later found out that my parents had sprinkler systems installed and thats what it was!!!

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I slept well the night before. My BMs put me to bed at 10:00 (we stayed at a hotel the night before), NO EXCEPTIONS, they kept telling me, LOL. I woke when the alarm went off at 7 am...it was funny because I so didn't want it to rain (it was misting) and I kept thinking I am not going to get married if it is raining...then I woke up and thought oh yes, I am getting married, rain or not!!

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I didn't really get any sleep the night before. My sister had a prewedding BBQ and we were the last to leave (at a very indecent hour) but we were both fine on the wedding day. All the excitement and emotion and fun kept me up and going until we got to the hotel after midnight!!!

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I actually slept well too - surprisingly! What helped was that I slept at home the night before, and not at my mom's house or a hotel. I didn't feel the need to hide from James or anything! By that point, we were so ready for the wedding we were just excited for the big day to finally be here!!!

Re: Another question for the Newlyweds
I had no problem sleeping either. I thought I would be worrying or excited and not sleep (I get like that the night before a vacation) but I did. I went to bed about midnight and woke up 8ish - no problems! I was so worried about this too....plus SIL caused a major issue between me and DH the night before and I had me in tears all evening - I needed sleep or I would have extremely puffy eyes....I was so glad I got the sleep. I like the ideas of a couple glasses of wine...to help you relax and get some rest!!! No matter what the adrenaline and excitement that you will have running thru you the next day will keep you going and glowing!
