Antique Maps (Sonicstef)

Our anniversay is fast approaching, and I just started looking into what maps are available on-line, instead of getting him prints from Hawaii.

In case anyone is interested www.raremaps.com has a ton of maps in all different price ranges.

Stef, have you looked around at all? Did you find anything good on ebay? I haven't tried ebay yet.

I looked a little and have figured out that I think he is going to have to deal with a nice reproduction. The real things are in the hundreds to thousands range ...sort of killing the concept of a cheaper anniversary gift.

Ive seen a few things on ebay but im trying to figure out where i can ship it so he wont find it first. I cant ship it to work :(

My Dh bought one on our honeymoon, and I thought it would be cool to help him start a little collection! And it's 'paper' for our 1st anniversary.

I don't know why I'm sticking to the tradition though. We ate our cake top on our 1 month instead of waiting a year!

Jeng: I threw out my cake top! I knew there was no way I was eating year old cake as soon as I got home from my honeymoons. I dont even like to eat day old left overs!

But I saved a bottle of champagne which I planned to drink at our 10 year anniversary or something. But someone recently told me that champagne doesnt keep well. So maybe I will cart it with me to Vegas to drink for our one year.

WOW - great idea. DH love studying maps too - I know, he's a freak! He'd love something like this.
