I teach whats on it but I was wondering if anyone had any of the state 'words to know' just to get them ready?
Thanks!

Re: Any 5th Grade SS teachers out there?
I teach 5th grade- all subjects so Im all checked out on preparing the kids for the SS State test. Theres a lot to know but seems like there's always a lot on culture, democracy, government. I will get back to you with more cause I cant think right now! They def. need to know how to read and answer ?'s on a timeline, charts etc... Also- definitely do LOTS of Document based essays for part 2!

seems like this is probably not what you want either but once you click on each of the key ideas this gives some good activities, resources, etc. .
don't know about a master word list. . I'll see what I can find. . I do know that sometimes the lower ability kids struggle with the verbs and other words that are in questions (that we sometimes don't teach like they will know content but get lost on words like significant, describe, detail, analyze, etc. so if you have tests and scan the questions to see if anything like that comes up. . social studies 5th grade
