Anyone else just TIRED?

Original post by PeteysBride

I dont know what it is but this last week has just been tough. some personal crap going on with ym family; certain members refusing to take care of themselves and causing me stress, hating my job and my supervisor who sets me up, starting school soon to take math and that major anxiety that comes with it, turning 27 this saturday and realizing I am only 3 years from 30 and STILL not where I want to be in life or in any position to have kids and a home, developing an ulcer and suffering from gastritis and migraines due to stress...

-hands out favors for anyone who wnats to join the pity party-

Sorry guys. i dont usually list my trauma..er drama but just really tired. Going on 2 days with 6 hours of sleep total and my stomach is upset AGAIN. I swear i am becoming my mother chewing TUMS like bubble gum.

Anyone else having a sh*tty week? (well aside from the obvious people lol)

I have to tell you... exercise is EXCELLENT for the 'woe is me moments' and I do have them often... I work out everyday and I havent felt better...

you should really seek out a therapist... when you find the right one, it's amazing.

but just know that you'll be ok... spring is around the corner and then ((YAY!!)) summer! I think a LOT of people are 'down' around this time of year... its cold... less daylight... the holidays are over.

this too shall pass... =))

Yea I think the weather has ALOT to do with it. IO always get more depressed in the winter. And I am a winter baby!fawkin snow...

I need to excercise. Just frustrated with the usual routine. I need a new one. I had a trainer for a bit but I didnt feel it was really working for me. you're in good shape. What do you usually do? I cant run for cardio-bad knees. So looking for alternatives that wont bore me to tears and will actually add muscle. Contrary to what all these dang trainers at NYSC tend to think some women LIKE having lean muscle. I like the athletic look. Jessice Biel is HOT!

Oh no Jenn sorry you feel so crappy that stinks. Who cares about being 30 they don't hand you a checklist on your 30th birthday of things you have to have done already. For some people life really starts at 30 like prisoners who went to jail for 10 years when they were 20.

Sometimes when I am wrecked I go to bed super early. One night of super 12 hour sleep really makes the week much more enjoyable.

Sleep..yes..I feel likea drug addict lol. getting the sakes but my fix are fluffy white pillows instead of powder!

I love having muscles. I used to be ripped... (Jessica Biel ripped) but I had spine surgery a few years ago and lost my routine... i also had more time to work out back then... but Ive been going to the gym regularly since I got engaged which was about a year ago... I'm FINALLY starting to see my 'Madonna arms' again.

Cardio is VERY IMPORTANT... Try the Precor machine (not the one with the arms) its very easy on the knees. I recently switched to running on a treadmill which I could never due before (got out of breath) but I was plateuing and had to swicth up my workout.

You should try doing 20-30 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of weight lifting. Even if you get some 5lb hand weights...

My workout is usually-
30 minutes of cardio
30 minutes lifting weights

I alternate days btwn legs and thighs - upper & lower back - biceps, triceps, shoulders..

This way your whole body is getting a consistant workout.

I think hard bodies on chicks is SO SEXY... My cousin is a personal trainer in Florida and she is TIIIIIIIIIGHT. After seeing her this past Christmas, it kicked my @ss in high gear so I'm really pushing myself now.

And to be honest, i FEEL BETTER about myself when I'm exercising.. it definitely is a high.

I can't control too many things in my life, you know? This I can control...

ooooh also-- SPIN CLASSES. they rule.

I would love to have the time to take a class... albeit yoga, spin or body sculpt. but with the kid, my schedule is all over the place.

I took a spin class once. My arse killed me for 3 days I had to walk around like John Wayne.

Does your friend at the gym take this class the one that talks to himself while he works out. (this is from something you posted 3 years ago i for some reason remember it)

your avatar is freaking me out!!!

LMAO I LOVE spin but yea..I need to buy a seat thingy for my *** because it gets soooo sore! I feel like I was riding Tonto rather than a bike

Maybe I'll take the spin classes again. I feel stupid when i cant keep up but I need to start somewhere. Running I like but aside from my knees I get winded quick. BLAST!

Re: Anyone else just TIRED?

Lets not talk about sleep. For the past 3 days Blake has been awake at 4:30 am. Sick, runny nose , stuffy nose, it varies, and my poor Lucas too. Puking Yuck. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh the joys of motherhood. I haven't even been able to work. I was called, but my children come first. Sleep, what is that? In any event, I hope things get better for you honey. The anxiety is killing me. My husband has not had sleep either. Putting in 18 hours today . Sometimes I wonder how I get through all the cards that have been dealt my way. This soon shall pass. I'm convinced. Live love and laugh. After all, we're all living on borrowed time . Sad but true.Love like you've never loved before. I know I have to these days. Cause I really don't know whats coming my way.Soooooooooo freaking frusterating!! Love you

Re: Anyone else just TIRED?

I know it will pass. I'm actually better today. I don't stay funked out for too long. LOL why I ahte posting my waa waa because then I sound frickin bipolar the next day when I'm singing at work to bother my supervisor. But my grandmother always said the world will laugh with you but not cry with you. You get one day to cry then you pick up and start over or you get forgotten about. So that s what I do.

Thanks for the support guys.

Re: Anyone else just TIRED?

Rob and I both get winter depression...this year isnt so bad though, we moved closer to family and friends and we have been keepng busy every weekend. I always say...when your feeling down, you could need a quick change of environment or some vitamin D....if theres time a quick warm vacation or even a tanning bed once in a while can boost your mood. I feel that another key is to keep busy....I just started full time college and im working full time...so If I was down I wouldnt even have the time to think about it.....Age is our biggest illusion...there should be no such thing..its not the number that should matter...its how you feel!!! Everyone is diff and no one is perfect...if everything came easy in life...we would be complaining about how bored we are....We need struggles to appreciate things. Its good to see your feeling better already!!!!! Dont worry things will get better from here!!!!

PS....I KNOW i sound corny haha

Hi Jenn,

I wasn't on yesterday..so I didn't see your post...
Everyone has their rough patches...and smooth patches...right now your in a rough patch..but things will get better...please take care of yourself...the first step is to know what you want..and then go for it....There isn't an age limit to whatever your heart desires...just go for it..

I hope you have a great weekend....
here are some hugs...

Re: Anyone else just TIRED?

Thanks girls.

I'm just really tired. I think i am going to take off Monday and I am as of today, officially looking for a new job. Just cant take it anymore. I have a dveloping ulcer at age 26..and didnt before this job. So I am done.

Have to know when enough is enough.

Thanks for the support -actually taking time to write your own thoughts and experienecs down rather than just using the emoticons. I really appreciate that-makes me feel y'all were all really listening. Love you guys!

Some hugs

and just wanted to say also, to not put too much on yourself either. I did this to myself before and my body reacted in CRAZY ways. I was losing chunks of hair, getting dizzy spells etc.

WIth me it was also an age thing too, gotta do this before I'm 30, gotta do that before I'm 30. It was literally making me sick!! Also I was looking at what other peolpe had and had accomplished and thought I should be in the same place. All my friends were married and had houses and I just thought their lives were so spectacular. The thing is you never know how unhappy people are behind closed doors. Look at all the anonymous posts about relationship issues.

Wake up in the morning and just be so grateful for everything in your life. That's what I've learned to do and it's really changed my life!

Feel Better!!
