Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
Do you mean at the wedding? My bustle wouldn't hold at all so my cousin pinned it with safety pins. Wasn't the original plan, but it looked beautiful!

The whole left side of my dress dragged all night-never put your trust in the bridal attendants bc they dont all know what they are doing

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
My mom had to show the bridal attendant how to bustle it...good thing momma paid attention to the seamstress!
Mine broke twice due to drunk people stepping on the dress...but i was drunk too so i didn't mind the safety pins

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
my bustle was complicated, i think it had like 14 ribbon ties?it was bustled perfectly by the bridal attendant ... i'm surprised there are so many who messed up, they should be better trained on this stuff!!

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
I wanted to kick my bp, mine was wrong. It was a double bustle since i had a lace/satin gown (two layers). I had 4 snaps and 4 ties. My bp didn't show up to the later fittings to learn how to do it or practice. When the ceremony was over with my man of honor, 1 bm and my bridal attendant sat there for 15 mins trying to figure it out. I see pics now and it is all un-even. One thing I would do if I could go back in time was to pay the seamstress to come to do it.

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
mine did get messed up slightly, although my MOH did know how to do it, they were trying to do it fast and couldn't find one tie and one button. My mom kept bugging me to fix and I didn't want to but finally did and she couldn't figure it out either....she just stuck a pin in it! Oh well, good enough!

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
Mine was done correctly. I had 2 of my BM's come with me to a fitting to learn how to do it. I picked the 2 that didn't have fake nails and weren't pregnant. LOL

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
My bustle fell down about 15 minutes after it was up.I told the Bridal attendant...fix it how ever you can...cut it if you have too.
I wanted to dance the whole night. and not have to hold my train.

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
When I look at a few pics, it was a little lopsided.I lost a few lbs the week of (without even trying) and b/c of that my dress had dropped. In the bridal suite, my DOC and bridal attendant pinned it up a little more. I was nervous b/c DH and I were doing a dance and I was afraid DH or me would step on it, so seconds before I went in the reception I had the bridal attendant pin it more. Well, that resulted in a crooked bustle. Oh well! At least we didn't trip on it, right?

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
my bustle broke within the first 15 minutes of the reception
safety pins wouldnt hold it up so i had to use the loop thingie the whole nite

Re: anyone else's dress bustled wrong
mine was bustled right, but there was a process you have to do after it was bustled. Basically after you hook each point you have to push in the sides and bring out the middle. I bustled the dress myself quickly while taking pics but did it so quick that i forgot to do the part with putting the sides in and bringing the middle out. Of course i didnt notice until i got to the hotel that night. So i just fixed it quickly, and took 1 pic with it bustled right in the hotel hahahahere is how it was the whole day, and then at the hotel the way it was supposed to be
you can see in the first pic, its a bit messy actually compared to how it was supposed to be its quite off lol
and here it is done properly, like i said i didnt even have to unhook anything to get it right just had to pull the middle part to the front
