Anyone ever have to sleep without their DH?

This is the second night in a row for me DH works as an offficer for DSNY and everyone is called in because of the snow. He has been working 7pm to 7am, tomorrow night too

I hate not having him to sleep with.

All the time, he works nights sometimes. You get used to it, I guess.

I sleep like a rock no matter what. I've always been like that, though.

That sucks, I know what you're going through.

When we first moved here (NJ), DH was still working on LI and I was on my own all week.

It helped me to leave the TV on, to sleep in the middle of the bed and to add a few extra pillows to make the bed feel less empty.

Posting on LIW until you can't keep your eyes open anymore helps too!!

Just one more night for you to make it through!! You can do it!!

DH goes away on business at least 4 times a year (2 times are for 5 nights at a time). I hate it each time he goes and I have to sleep alone. It is so lonely but it is that much better when he comes back

All summer long we slept seperately. We do not have air conditioning and our room is upstairs, so he slept in the livingroom where it was much cooler.

I actually sleep better without him. I get seasick with all his tossing and turning!

Hi Lisa-

I have been lurking. But after this weekend I got the bug again. We made it into Newsday for Liweddings!

How is everything with you?

I miss everyone!

Re: Anyone ever have to sleep without their DH?

I travel a lot for work so there are many nights DH and I have had to stay apart. It never really bothered me, because it is the way my career is. Plus we were together for 2 years and he lived in Manhattan and I was in Bayside. I love having him in the bed, but I can sleep either way. The one thing I haven't had to do is sleep at home without him. It is usually me who is away on business, visiting friends, or on vacation.
