we went on safari - woke up for the first six days right after our wedding at 5:30 in the MORNING. i was incredibly tired and cranky and this led to some tension b/w us. anyone else get into a tiff? just wondering.....i know it's a taboo subject.

I honestly don't even remember but Im sure we had some kind of fight in two weeks. Obviously not life shattering.
I don't trust couples that get along all the time. Its not natural - haha..

I understood that the night before was our wedding and that we only got 3 hours of sleep
DW wanted to leave for the HM the morning after the wedding and I was like MAJOR HELL NO for this exact reason of being cranky the day after from lack of sleep.
I think Vanessa got pissed at me for a few minor things which caused some tension. Honestly at this point I can't even remember what it was about.
Most likely I was probably just being stupid, loud, and obnoxious and it was annoying her.

DH and I had problems with the service at the resort and by day 5 we had it. we were so annoyed at the lack of service that we ended up snapping @ each other about stupid little things, by the next morning we were fine.
by friday evening, both of us were ready to go home . we missed everyone and wanted to catch up.

I was actually ok with going the next and getting no sleep. We didn't have that many vacation days b/c I just started a new job a few months before. I was awake, happy and ready to have fun. But that's me. It was my hm and that comes once in a life time and I was too excited to stay in. I wasn't going to let me being tired slow me down. I just didn't take into consideration that dh might get tired. Oh well, overall we had a good time.
(I don't know why this is in italics. I didn't put it in italics??? Oh well.)

I hear ya. Vanessa tried to give me the 'lack of vacation day' speech. But I knew she had enough to allow us to skip a day and still have a 9 day honeymoon.
So I won in the end. She liked having the day off though.
I told her I would not be able to have as much fun at the wedding knowing I had to be up mad early the next morning to get on a plane.

Oh, thanks. In a way I wish we would have waited a day. But I was so excited to go on the hm. I really don't think I could have waited a day to go. Realistically though, it would have been a better idea. We wouldn't have lost a day.

We had one little tiff toward the end. We were gone for over 2 weeks and I think we were just both ready to come home. We had enough and were running out of things to do.

yep we did, after a week of being married and we still had a week left of our HM, i went to sleep w/out talking to him....but we made up in the morning.... we dont go to sleep anymore if we're fighting but fortunately that hasnt happened since , all over a stupid bottle of wine.

I was really happy we left right afterward. Yes it was a bit more work to make sure we were packed ahead of time but I think that totally added to the experience.
I know if we had had an extra day we would have waited to pack that day, done errands, etc... It was like it forced us to just relax and be with each other and soak the whole wedding in.

We had a few minor arguments. I can't say I was much fun though. I got sick - fever and all - on day two of our HM. He was terrific, but I know I was a little snappy.

im sure we had little disagreements... but really, probably only 1 or 2 (like when i wanted to go back down to the casino, and DH wanted to relax at the room and READ... talk about role reversal- the man hadnt picked up a book in the 5 years that preceeded that ). we were good though- w/ things that probably wouldve gotten to us... we really just put it out of our minds. We never had a real vacation together, so we didnt want to take away from it in anyway

Yes, but it wasn't anything big. I got too hungry and got annoyed with him because he kept taking pictures, after I told him I was really hungry. Once I had something to eat, all was better.

We did since we almost missed our flight going there and were VERY cranky. Then when we came back, the car battery was dead. So of course, being that it was DH's fault I was totally mad.

The last night we got into an argument at dinner and I don't even remember what it was about...but I started crying at the table! I thought that was so horrible that my new husband made me cry!!! I think I was just overwhelmed with emotion (and maybe the champagne added to it too!!).
