you mean kaufman? is that the one by the new beer garden and the movie theater? that's a good area cuz there's lots to do... i'd consider living there if i was moving...

Nope, but I used to live in LIC/Sunnyside. I love the area- it's so close to the city and public transportation but it's also still really nice.

My best friend lives in Astoria and I work right on the other side of the bridge from Astoria. My other friend with her DH live in Astoria/Woodside. They love it. My best friend I don't think will ever move out of it. Everything is walking distance, he doesn't need his car, he's not far from the new beer garden (which I'm OBSESSED with), and doesn't take him all that long to get to work (he works at Deuche Bank all the way downtown). If he ever meets a girl, I REALLY hope she wants to live in Astoria! he's like married to it!

MOLD.... we need to move, looking in LB, but considering the apartment in astoria bc our friend just moved out and he is in a great location.

DH and I live in Forest Hills and we have a bunch of friends who live in Astoria and they all love it... if DH gets his way, we will be moving there too lol. It's very convenient to the city and you have everything at you fingertips.

I used to. I loved it there and miss it. I would move back. Great good, and people. Love the park. Love the neighborhood and access to parkways and city. One of my favorite parts of Queens. I didn't live where you are looking, but know people who did and it's good. most parts of Astoria are good.
