Just curious if you're happy with what you're doing or if you plan to change careers? I'm in the process of changing my career and it will take another 2-2.5 years.

Hellllll no I'm definitely going to be changing careers. I currently work for the county and plan on leaving after I put in my 10 years. I only have 1.5 years left Som people think I'm insane for leaving a goverment job, but I am truly miserable and I need a change.

I think it would look pretty hilarious if I was still a bottle waitress at 45.

If I am I think I'd shoot myself. I'm hoping to change careers soon but there's nothing out there for me in my field right now.

Re: Are you in your forever career?
I dont know ...
I could be, my pay is great, there is room for advancement, it is a career BUT ... I am not sure this is what I want to do forever (medical sales, capital equipment).
If I had a choice, I would own a florist

Re: Are you in your forever career?
i like my job but hopefully i am not going to stay here forever - when the time comes i want to be a stay at home mom and work part time for extra cash (and of course move out of state) - i want to raise my kids and not have the responsibility of having a career as well....but if we were staying forever and did not want to start a family then i would probably stay at my job indefinitley

Well I have my masters in forensic psychology but the jobs in that field are extremely limited. I'm looking for something in a counseling / case manager position but it's really hard because I have minimal experience. Right now I work as an assistant at an insurance company.

Thanks for confiming that My job is not only dangerous, but seriously disturbing so to keep whatever sanity I have left, I gotta go.
To apply for a job, you can go on the civil service website and see what tests are being given: Civil Service
