Not at all!!! I think if you have the money and it will help you improve your self esteem do it....I am opposed to the cat lady or people who get surgery to over due something.

My Mom had the bags under her eyes taken care of and I thought that was great for her. She seemed so happy! She looked awesome too.

Down the line, i'll probably get some work done on my boobs.

Nope. I don't know if I would be able to do it myself, but if someone has the money to do it and it makes them feel better about themselves, then I don't see anything wrong with it!

without a reason, like my face got fudged up and i need plastic surgery to fix it...

Nope. I've thought about it for years but always chickened out from pain and $.

I do think though that people become obsessed with it and at that point I do think it shouldn't be allowed. Kinda like how bartenders have to stop serving people who look completely trashed.

being that i've had it, as most of you know, no - i'm not opposed to it. hwr, im not a fan of anything foreign (i.e. implants) going in. although i do think fake boobies are fun to touch, i wouldn't want them on me.

IMO though - I think you have to be confident in your own appearance. DH HATES any type of surgeries to enhance oneself. He thinks breast implants are disgusting .. in fact, on our HM we met a couple and the girl wanted them and he told her all about his thoughts on it - so funny (some of you may remember his posts about that!)

if I had the money I will get a nose job. so I am def not opposed.
but what annoys me is ppl that look skinny and athletic get those lypo's, and the Dr's go along with them instead of telling them to get real. I oppose lypo's I guess.

To answer the question: not in theory, no. It can be done well. Both MIL and SIL had nose jobs (before I was around) and I didn't even know until recently. But it can and does go too far sometimes. For me personally, I had major surgery for a medical reason as a kid and vowed to avoid surgery ever again at all costs, so I don't think I could voluntarily go through a surgical procedure that wasn;t absolutely necessary. BUT hey, ask me again in 20 years when gravity has taken its toll

i'm not wild about cosmetic plastic surgery... there's something to be said for accepting the way you look and coming to make peace with loving yourself as it.

however, i'm not opposed to those who have plastic surgery to correct a medical issue or something like that.

it's definitely a personal choice. i passed a little judgment on my SIL when she had her boob job, but that was up to her and she was happy about it, so i guess thats what matters.

In a few years, I'm probably going to get a breast reduction...we'll see what breast feeding does to me though!

I think there are amazing things that can be done with LIMITED cosmetic surgery. I think extremes (think: Heidi Montag) is terrible and those patients should have psychiatric consultations before going under the knife.

Noooo... I've had my boobs done. I like them, but I need to get them redone eventually, I think they're too close together, but that's cuz my rib cage is very narrow in the front, but that's another story. I think if you want to do and and you have the means, then go a head!
