If you can't stand word math problems, just skip it now. Here's the problem:

There are 7 girls in a bus
Each girl has 7 backpacks
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats
For every big cat there are 7 little cats
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

I got it too!! Solution below:

















7 girls = 14 legs (2 legs per girl)
7 backpacks per girl = 49 backpacks
49 x 7 = 343 big cats at 7 per backpack
343 x 4 = 1372 legs on the big cats (4 legs per cat)

For every big cat there are 7 little cats. If there are 343 big cats then 343 x 7 = 2401 little cats
2401 x 4 = 9604 legs on the small cats (4 legs per cat)

14+1372+9604 = 10990 UNLESS there is a bus driver and then the answer is 10992!
