As I get further and further away from my wedding, I find myself less and less interested in things having to do with weddings. I still like giving advice when I can on LIW - but looking at bridal magazines, or watching shows like Bridezillas really just doesn't interest me anymore.

Re: Are you still interested in wedding stuff?
I feel the same way...Fortunately one of my BM's is getting married in Jan, so I have been helping her but I feel terrible bc I am not in 'wedding' mode anymore!!!

Yeah, I am definitely less interested lately. But I do like coming on LIW still, and have some friends getting married. But the obsession is over though!!

Re: Are you still interested in wedding stuff?
I am less interested, but I always play the 'flower' game in my head...like, I'm obsessed with flowers and think about how things would have looked with different flowers.... like, not a regret, but I think I should be a florist.
But I have no desire to give advice and I'm not really interested in all the detail stuff.

Re: Are you still interested in wedding stuff?
Yes and no. On one hand I'm still very interested in wedding stuff, like offering my advice on LIW and helping out brides with DIYs. My cousin is getting married in November and I'm so excited for her, we just had her shower and it was nice to sit back and enjoy it while I reminisced about the excitement of my own shower.
But the bridal magazines and TV shows, I'll admit that I'm not as interested in those. After 3 months I'm starting to move onto those bigger & better things that life has to offer!! I loved wedding planning and I'll gladly help any bride-to-be, but for me I'm happy to move onto the next step!!

I still enjoy helping future brides out, but I don't read bridal magazines anymore or the bridezillas show. I'd rather spend time on the couch with DH than anything else lately (or maybe it's b/c I'm sick!)

Re: Are you still interested in wedding stuff?
I like coming on here once in awhile and seeing what's new and exciting.
Sometimes it makes me sad, knowing my wedding day was 3 years ago and seeing all the cool things that brides are doing these days, makes me want to do it all over again!
I still have friends who are just getting engaged, so I get to live vicariously through them!

Re: Are you still interested in wedding stuff?
Well considering the fact that I got married 3 weeks ago Im still not over the wedding planning...I miss it...and I kind of miss chatting with my old LIW buddies here as well...everyone has moved on and is kind of doing their own thing...I miss that the most.

No interest in the shows or magazines (already gave them away to another Bride to be) but it's all still too new to be disinterested..yet.

Re: Are you still interested in wedding stuff?
Same here...I don't mind offering advice to new Brides (a lot at work lately), but the magazines and shows are a turn off. Esp the magazines, kinda like Leese, I became flower obsessed in the end, and flipped through an ungodlly amount of mags looking for the perfect CP.
Funny too, b/c when girls at work approach me about vendor advice, I kinda laugh to myself now. They're all hyped up and worried about every little thing, and I just think to myself - if they only knew...
