With all this baby talk on these boards the past few days, I was wondering how many kids everyone would like to have?. People think DH and I are nuts because we would like to have between 3-5.
Do you have any preference in having boys or girls?

2 for us- I would love more but we want to send each to college & thats all we could afford! I'd love two girls but I know dh really wants one of each

we plan on having only 2 children. my SIL just had a baby boy, so we are kinda hoping that #1 will be a girl either way, we'll take whatever we get.

I would like to have 3/4. Preference not really just as long as they are healthy, but if I have all girls DH will be upset because he will certainly want a boy. I just want them to be healthy!

We would like 2 children. Sometimes I feel like maybe one is enough since we'll be starting a little late, other times I want 3 , but most of the time I want 2, a little boy and little girl.

2.... POSSIBLY 3 - but i think just 2... twins would be nice... both in one shot haha
i would be happy with either boy or girl.. idealy, i'd like one of each.. i think there are pros and cons to both sexes

we have a plan but who knows what will happen it all depends on money....
we want at least 2
if we have 2 girls or a boy and a girl we will probably stop....maybe we would adopt a third if its something we can do financially....
if we have 2 boys we think we would want to adopt even more so we could have a daughter....
adopting is an option for us either way it just depends on money i guess - and of course how much energy i have raising 1 kid is hard enough let alone 3 so its one of those things that you really dont know until you are doing it.....
id really like to have a daughter one day though so fingers crossed! but above all having a healthy child is most important....

I am not from a big family, just my brother and I, but I've always known I want to have a big family. Dh is one of 4 kids, so he likes big families too.

We want between 2-4. I guess it depends on our financial situation. I would ideally like to have at least one boy and one girl but would be happy with either. As long as they are healthy thats all that matters.

Well we would like two bc of finances etc ...but if money wasn't a thang we would probaly have 4 or 5
I would like a first bc I had a big brother and loved it...but as long as is healthy I am happy either way of course!
If we have 2 of the same sex we will go for the 3rd I think

That is what we worry about - and we are moving out of NY! It's really hard - not only do you want to be able to provide for your kids but then there is college and also we'll need money for ourselves to retire! I would really have 1 just to be more financially comfortable but I think I would feel bad not giving my child at least 1 brother or sister.....and when I think about all the kids out there already it makes me want to adopt.....I need to win lotto!

I kinda want to have them close together too - I have a brother who is 10 yrs younger than me, so I never had that whole close in age experience and I think that would be nice (although I did love having a younger brother, and we are extremely close now)...DH is one of 8, and, he is 18 years younger than his oldest sister, and 9 years younger than his brother that was born before him...sooooooo....7 kids in 9 yrs...then another 9 yrs later...ha!
