Okay so we are torn. We are looking for a new bed set. currently we have a stinky full size and DH wants a queen and I want a King. there is only a 6 inch diff between a full and a queen and i cant see spending that much on 6 inches esp when a king is 200 more. please offer some help and ideas. my reasoning is that a king will allow us to have room for kids to cuddle and move around. thanks girls!

well... DH and i had a full size bed when we first moved in together.... then we got a queen size and even to its only 6 inches wider it makes a HUUUUGE difference!!
i mean, if you want bigger, you cant go wrong with a king... but i just wanted to say that i think a queen is perfect
i agree- unless you definately have the room for a king.
dh and i have a full. he complains about the full all the time. he wants a king. i want to buy something and know we have room for a king before we buy it. i am not so sure about a king because whenever we go away we always get full and it feels like he is not even on the bed with me.

I'm happy with my queen and my DH is a pretty big guy! Plus it won't only be the price diff in the mattress, all the bedding is way more for king size

Re: bed help ladies!!!
I thought we were the only couple that had a full. We plan to redo the master bedroom within a couple of months and we both agree on the full. I had a queen at my apartment before we moved got married, but that set ended up at my parents house. Now they use it so much with guest, that I feel bad asking for it back. I think we are just using it as an excuse to buy the king.

Go with a king! You will love it! We have a king and especially since our dogs sleep in bed most nights, a King is the only way to go.

Re: bed help ladies!!!
I tried out a king size bed once in JCPenney b/c I figured we would upgrade once we got our own place. I didn't like the king b/c it felt SOOOO big. I liked the queen and the full we have now is just too small. I agree with the other girl about how DH comes up so close behind me and I am almost pushed off the bed. I think the extra inches or w/e would do us good. I just happen to think a king is too big for us. BUT, for you I think it may be best since you are planning on having kids and planning on having them snuggle and sleep with you in the bed sometimes :)

get the king!!!! we have a king and we still don't feel it is big enough. when we buy a house we are getting a california king. everyone sees our bed and is like wow that is huge. but DH is 6'4 and our dog is 90lbs. so i get squished between them in the middle. KING is the way to go.

Re: bed help ladies!!!
we went from a full to a king 3 yrs ago. When we sleep in a queen now, we are crowded. But DH is 6 foot 4 and has shoulders like quarterback so we needed a big bed so I could stop being squooshed every night.
Look on Shop nbc this weekend. they usually run a special on serta perfect sets around pres day weekend.
We got a king euro pillowtop (squared off pillow top) for $1100. It was no tax and free shipping.

Re: bed help ladies!!!
We would have gotten a king if our bedroom was big enough. I am a bad sleeper and have a habit of taking up the entire bed.
