bed help ladies!!!

bed help ladies!!!

Okay so we are torn. We are looking for a new bed set. currently we have a stinky full size and DH wants a queen and I want a King. there is only a 6 inch diff between a full and a queen and i cant see spending that much on 6 inches esp when a king is 200 more. please offer some help and ideas. my reasoning is that a king will allow us to have room for kids to cuddle and move around. thanks girls!

I would love a king if we had the room. DH likes the full we have because he likes to sleep RIGHT next to me. Haha, I often wind up nearly falling off the bed because he keeps moving close when I move for some space. I would like the extra space at times. And I like the idea of having room for future kids!

ETA: you're right about the size difference. I say if you have the space, spend the extra 200 hundred for the king.

well... DH and i had a full size bed when we first moved in together.... then we got a queen size and even to its only 6 inches wider it makes a HUUUUGE difference!!

i mean, if you want bigger, you cant go wrong with a king... but i just wanted to say that i think a queen is perfect

i agree- unless you definately have the room for a king.

DH and I also have the same dilemma. He wants a king and i want a queen but our bedroom can fit a king comfortably. He wants a king so when we do have kids they will have space too. I think a queen is perfect for us but i guess we have to calculate for the long run. Can you fit a king in your bedroom?

wow i thought there was more than a 6 inch differnce between full and queen - how weird!

i always said we would def get a queen but now i'm re-thinking that

the cheap part of me says queen b/c whenever i look at furniture and bedding the stuff for a queen bed is always cheaper so i always tell DH we don't need a king b/c in the long run queen will be cheaper hahahaha......

right now we have a full size bed and it s-u-c-k-s

get the Queen!! Although if I had the room & money I would go for the extra 6'... never know one day a little kiddie might cuddle up in there too!

Queen. I hear that couple grow far from each other in a King bed that they tend to sleep away because of the space. We have a queen and there are nights that we sleep intertwined...lol and there are night that we sleep away from each other, so I don't know if teh King will make us sleep more separate.

Haha! That's one major upside to the smaller mattresses. Sheets are always cheaper.

we've been having this debate too for when we move into our house. we have a queen now and are debating getting a king. we're 99% sure though we'll stick w/ the queen. we have room for the king, and on vacations we sleep great in a king, but it's just a bit too big for everyday. plus we have all our bedding from our shower in queen. to buy all new bedding in king will be really expensive. the cost of upkeep on the king is a lot more than on a queen, and that's why we're really sticking with the queen.

I have ALWAYS wanted a King size bed! I'm kind of claustrophobic, so I just always assumed that i'd want my space when I sleep. However, now that I'm actually sharing the bed with Dh, I realize that i just don't need it. We have a Queen size and it's PERFECT! On our honeymoon we slept on a King. It was wonderful and all, but i found that he & I would both end up in the middle anyway. Too much space made me uncomfortable. I actually DO like to feel him close by. That's why Queen is working out great for us. I can feel him beside me, but still have enough of my own claustrophobic space. A full size is a LOT smaller than a Queen, even though it doesn't sound it. My sister has a full size with her husband and i can certainly feel the extreme difference in our beds.

But of course, I've never considered 'kids' in our bed. lol. I get what you're saying about that. If you have room for a King and the money, then I think that would be awesome. But if not, the Queen is still a great size.

if you have the room go for the king....

it is so nice to meet in the middle and roll around with DH with out worrying about falling off the bed...

and you can still sleep as close as you want but the extra room all around is sooo nice to have

Re: bed help ladies!!!

yea its so tough

We deff can fit it in our place. so room isnt an issue. just cant decide

One set we like is

899 for Q and 1199 for K
and the other
1099 for Q and 1399 for K

diff is just a little extra pillow top.

If you have the room, go for the king. Personally, the extra space helps me to sleep better. (This coming from a couple who used to share a twin bed when first dating). I don't agree that a king sized bed will make you grow apart. That's just ridiculous!

i mean, we usually cuddle each other through the night but well separate and lay back to back a while, then cuddle again then separate

We had a queen and it was fine, but we got a king recently and wondered how we ever lived without it!!!! We aboslutely love it, we also have a chocolate lab that sneaks on to the bed at night and stretches out so it fits all of us perfectly too with room to spare and with the little one on the way there is there is room to fit more!

I completely agree with this...and having a king won't make you grow apart as a couple...if it does, then there's bigger issues to worry about...

King gives you all of the options possible!!!
