So when I moved in with DH after our wedding in July, he hadn't cleaned his bedroom in years. There were piles of boxes and I knew we wouldn't be sleeping in there for a while. Needless to say, it took him nearly 5 months to clean it out (we slept on our mattress in another room). I got to painting right away but was VERY ANGRY to find that the new paint was loosening the old ceiling paint. The old paint was coming down in sheets like wallpaper. So I had to scrape every inch of the ceiling to remove the old paint. I finally finished the basics this week and wanted to share since I am so proud of my work. I have a bedroom!

Ahhh I feel your pain, that actually happened to us when we moved into our house, DH decided to do the painting himself. Wow what a nightmare, I was like it's cracking and peeling from the ceiling (where he tried to cover cracks) I finally had to hire someone to fix it professionally b/c it was such a mess. Kudos to you did it on your own. Great job!! Looks very nice now.
