I just posted some pics of our kitchen on the LIF home board, but figured I should share w/ you ladies since you all helped me stay awake 2 weeks ago when my tile guy was here and I was OD'ing on nyquil

K, so we moved into our house over 2 years ago, and w/ the planning of the wedding last year, it took us forever to do our kitchen!! we totally gutted all the plaster, and DH reframed and sheetrocked everything. all of this work was done by him & his dad (except for installing granite, and the backsplash, DH helped our tile guy w/ the floor tile) we had the floor, cabinets & painting done last year, but finally had our backsplash & crown molding done 2 weeks ago!!

here's a before (now sing, 'I love the 70's!!' lol)

AFTER:

We cut a hole into the wall shared between the kitchen & LR, so we can eat at the extended counter top while watching TV (DH didn't like it at first, but come football season, he LOVED it!!)

wonderful job. You must be soo and proud of it. I would be Do you even want to cook in it now.. I would be a clean neat freak.

Gorgeous! The before pics are sooo funny. Definitely 70s! You must feel so relieved! I want to redo our bathroom...it is such a big undertaking.

nope it was all me!! (sorry while I pat myself on the back, but it was tough since every choice I made I had to go back & forth w/ DH on!!)

cabinets- Wellborn- savannah cherry cocoa

paint- I bought 5 different paint samples from Benjamin Moore, but we went w/ Sienna Clay

counter top: dakota mahogany granite

appliances- got a sale at PC Richards (w/ an interest free offer for 1 year- giddy up!!!)

tile- I forgot the name of it, but we bought it at Benson Tile on Woodhaven Blvd.

bar stools: from SturbridgeYankee.com

wow huge props to you for doing it all! I wouldve been PET that I would pick things that didnt go, but you pulled it together so nicely and professionally! way to go!
