I just posted some pics of our kitchen on the LIF home board, but figured I should share w/ you ladies since you all helped me stay awake 2 weeks ago when my tile guy was here and I was OD'ing on nyquil

K, so we moved into our house over 2 years ago, and w/ the planning of the wedding last year, it took us forever to do our kitchen!! we totally gutted all the plaster, and DH reframed and sheetrocked everything. all of this work was done by him & his dad (except for installing granite, and the backsplash, DH helped our tile guy w/ the floor tile) we had the floor, cabinets & painting done last year, but finally had our backsplash & crown molding done 2 weeks ago!!

here's a before (now sing, 'I love the 70's!!' lol)

AFTER:

We cut a hole into the wall shared between the kitchen & LR, so we can eat at the extended counter top while watching TV (DH didn't like it at first, but come football season, he LOVED it!!)

yes someone did, a little old lady named Dorothy! she's now 82 yrs old and living in Virginia!! I think she was a little out of touch w/ what's 'hip' now, I met her for the first time at the closing, and she was like 'how 'bout that bathroom huh?? I picked out everything myself'......ahhhh pooor Dorothy, she didn't realize no one wanted a yellow toilet, yellow sink, yellow bathtub, and funky yellow & white tile!! I didn't have the heart to tell her it wasn't my taste, I just said 'oh its great!!'
