I just posted some pics of our kitchen on the LIF home board, but figured I should share w/ you ladies since you all helped me stay awake 2 weeks ago when my tile guy was here and I was OD'ing on nyquil

K, so we moved into our house over 2 years ago, and w/ the planning of the wedding last year, it took us forever to do our kitchen!! we totally gutted all the plaster, and DH reframed and sheetrocked everything. all of this work was done by him & his dad (except for installing granite, and the backsplash, DH helped our tile guy w/ the floor tile) we had the floor, cabinets & painting done last year, but finally had our backsplash & crown molding done 2 weeks ago!!
here's a before (now sing, 'I love the 70's!!' lol)
AFTER:
We cut a hole into the wall shared between the kitchen & LR, so we can eat at the extended counter top while watching TV (DH didn't like it at first, but come football season, he LOVED it!!)

It is beautiful you did a great job!!! It is so perfect looking it looks like something from a catalog.
Do you have any more pictures of the other renovations in the house you have done? i love before and afters. I mostly only have befores .
I have to take some pics of our DR, that's the only other room thats pretty much done. we did the steps over in the front of the house, so I also have a before & after for that. otherwise, all the other rooms are still in the 'before' stage (like before 1965!!! I have one room (enclosed porch) that's somewhere in the middle, say 1980ish?.....its just sheetrocked right now, getting taped & sanded, then I can paint. yay!! I'll keep you posted on the progress!

just wanted to say thank you ladies for all the nice comments, this renovation was definitely a 'labor of love' (or at times hate ....I'm just glad its over!!
