Beside myself

Original post by carolinebr

Well, I am officially hysterically crying.

As many of you know, my DH is a jerk. I put up with it, well, because we have a kid. But I am at my breaking point. I think I officially hit rock bottom tonight.

He went away this past weekend with 'the guys.' He said it was just the 4 guys and no girls. Well, some girl emailed his pictures from the weekend. In every picture, he's not wearing his wedding ring. And there are girls in every picture.

I can't even see straight. I cannot stop crying. I can barely breathe. I think I am hyperventilating. I even ZOOMED IN to be sure.

There is no ring. And who the FUUCK IS THAT???

Someone talk me off the ledge please because I am out of my mind right now.

Re: Beside myself

Haven't been on in awhile so I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. Caroline, all I want to say to you is be strong & be true to yourself. You know in your heart what is the right thing to do for you & Ella. My ex-husband was a perpetual child-always just looking for the next good time. And I unfortunately wasted so much of my life waiting for him to change or punishing myself. I still don't know why I stayed so long.

If you need to talk, I am here for you. Sending lots & lots of hugs your way-you deserve it.

Re: Beside myself

I just caught up on all this. Caroline, I am so sorry you are going through this. You seem like such an amazing, caring mother. Only you know what is best for you and Ella. It sounds like u want to be done. If that is the case and he won't leave, maybe change the locks and book him a hotel room. Stay strong! I can't imagine how hard this must be for you, but the longer you stay in a situation, the harder it will be later on.

Re: Beside myself

I am so sorry. I have read your posts for a year now. You are such a sweet person. You and your daughter deserve the best. You always have options! Please be aware of that. Be strong. Show your daughter what you are made of. Can you transfer to NY or find a new job? Good luck, honey.

Re: Beside myself

Im very sorry for what you are going through, I went through something similar with my sons father 10 years ago. But we were not married. I was 21 and I was basically living alone in Boston with none of my family, and I raised him with very little help until I moved back to New York after he was 3. Hang in there, you will make it though, even though it looks hopeless now..

Re: Beside myself

I feel horrible that you have to go through this....If I were you I'd be screaming for some answers until I got them. Have you tried sitting down with him and talking. Ask him if he still wants to be in the marriage and why hes so cold to you? He has some nerve. Your much better than that. You're beautiful and intelligent and you deserve better. I know it's hard with a baby but I hope if it won't work out you have the courage to leave

caroline I am so sorry you even have to deal with this.....i can't and won't tell you what you should or shouldn't do, all i can say is....chances are, your gut is right. Guts and Hearts are great things to follow.......they've never turned me in the wrong direction. I hope you continue to find strength during this both for yourself and your gorgeous daughter.

Re: Beside myself

hey caroline. i just caught up & read this whole post...and just wanted to offer hugs & prayers & tell you how very sorry I am Although part of what gemmifer & peteysbride are saying holds some water, i dont think this is the case here. That woman pictured with ur husband is in two separate photos, and there's clearly a woman for each man... there were some guys my husband used to work with would do sh*t like this all the time and it would aggrivate the sh*t at of me and my husband wasnt even the one involved! They would have certain girls/women that they'd call when they'd have 'guys nights' or 'guys weekends' that would come & meet them & hang out...(ie drink all night/hang all over them/whatever that led to etc.)The bottom line is that when you say your VOWS on ur wedding day, you dont just vow to not PHYSICALLY cheat, but you VOW to HONOR, RESPECT & be FAITHFUL.... so i could give a sh*t if nothing physical happened....these photos are NONE of the above..and if the weekend was so innocent and these girls were so random, then why is there a string of lies attached, AND he's still attempting to lie about his ring...I think he's found himself caught & stuck & the only thing he can do is make you feel ignorant to try & get himself out of it. the whole situation does NOT honor you, OR respect you, and it's not anything about how a man should treat his wife..infact it's the complete opposite. This also isn't some first time thing, or the first post u've done about ur frustrations...and i'm sorry for all that u've delt with. This man needs to realize what he's losing and you need to do more than just cry and let it subside. I'm glad to see your seeking an attorney...even if it doesn't lead to the last resort, maybe it'll atleast smack some sense into him that he just MAY ACTUALLY LOSE HIS WIFE & DAUGHTER You are a strong & gorgous woman & mother and you & ella BOTH deserve a man that treats you like the two most amazing women on earth. SAVE those photos..print them & keep them somewhere so there's no denying it later. I'm praying for you & we're all here for you. please please PLEASE keep us updated.. love & hugs..

Damn... I wish I would have thought to say that to him. Instead, I threw a diet coke can at his head. whoops...

Hey Caroline, the Diet Coke hint is a very good start, by the looks of it he could stand to lose about 40 lbs. All that extra weight and the heavy burden of a guilty conscience must be hard to carry around all day..

Re: Beside myself

ps: i would somehow find a way to separate urself & ella from him in these next few weeks...just so he gets a taste of what it's like to lose the two of u. i know u said he wont leave, & u dont have many people around to stay with..what about a hotel nearby of some sort???? even if its just for a few days to clear ur head & give him a reality check...

and who knows, without u cooking maybe he'll drop some of the 80b. baggage ur talking about

I agree. He needs to know how his decisions will effect the rest of his life. Do u have some extra money to use towards a room at a hotel nearby for you and Ella? I know it would probably be super hard to leave- especially with a baby, but it really might be a good idea at this point.

Re: Beside myself

He'll be 'giving me my space' over the next few weeks. the attorney I want can't see me until next Wednesday so he's just pacing around now, nervous as hell. He knows I called an attorney & that I have an appt, etc. He's kissing my a$$ all of a sudden

My BF from home is coming up this weekend & I will be kicking around in Newport. MIL & SIL will be taking care of Ella so I can have fool around. I also whacked the SH!T out of his credit cared this week.
