DH played the piano when he was a kid. MIL is insisting we take the piano because he was the only one that played it and she wants it out of her living room so she can redo the room.
I am not upset we have to take the piano, I am upset we have to take it right this minute when we don't even have our Living Room/Dining Room set up yet with all the furniture we want in it. Though I don't think we are going to have room for it but at least if we waited we could figure out how to make it work. But why we have to take it this minute. She doesn't even have the money to redo the living room right now. She has had the piano for 25 years, suddenly it has to go this instant.
So last night as we are moving furniture around trying to figure out where the hell to put it when it comes today we had the biggest fight. I did what I swore I would never do, I went to bed steaming mad. And since he got up at 6:30 to go to NJ to pick up his car so we can't even talk about it. By the time he comes home that damn stupid piano will be here already.

Re: Biggest Fight of our Marriage Last Night.
I'm so sorry you're upset, not only about the piano but about the fight.
Everything will work out just great, I'm certain. For people in love, fights bring you closer together in the long run.
Good luck with the logistics of that one. Your MIL is being a complete nut.

Fights are inevitable, the way you handle them is really the key...you seem like you are handling it well by wanting to talk. Maybe you both just need time to calm down so you can talk it through. I am sure it will blow over. Your rule of not going to bed mad is a good one!

I totally agree.
DH and I have been in the fights where we can't even talk to eachother because we are SO pisssed. It happens and like Sandra said, it makes you closer. Weird but true!
Anyways, this is kind of cool though. You get a piano! And if you guys ever have children, they can maybe learn on the same piano their Daddy learned on! Anyways, I hope this all worked out!
