bummed

so my boss tells me today that i need to take on another role in my office, more of a supervisor role and move from my current office to another office (still within the same division) b/c the people in the other office need close supervision.. the lady who did this before, just took another job..

the problem is that i don't see it as a full-time job, our division is so small that it doesn't really need a fulltime supervisory person.. in my current role, I work on special projects and all the stuff - and don't have to deal w/ the day to day operations junk..

I am extremely bummed, I just don't want to do busy work not something meaningful, it bothers me to no end.. I told my boss this and she said, it will be a combo of both and I sure hope someone else will be hired for this down the road..

Sorry to hear this...is it going to be permanent or only for a limited amt of time, like just for a couple of months, until the other office gets their act together.

Would you be getting a raise or some other sort of compensation for taking on the additional responsibility?

no raise.. she said till there is law and order in the land.. and then i can slowly pull myself out.. but it just makes me feel really uncomfy.. don't get me wrong.. there are people who want this position so bad.. but i don't..
