I want a new foundation. I've tried all kinds from the cheapy ones i.e. cover girl, revlon, even rimmel to kinda expensive ones M.A.C & Bobbi Brown. I have kinda oily skin but recently its been getting dry in some spots from having the heat on in the apt. I want something with medium coverage not to dark and not too heavy.
What do you ladies use?????
ETA: That my aunt bought me a HUGE set of bare mineral escentuals make up and I like it but I find it sooooooo messy!

Re: Cosmetics question???
I love love love Clinique Almost Powder makeup. It's a compact. I have oily skin too and right now it's also very dry from all the heat in the apt and wrk. It's very light but gives you good coverage!

Is it loose??? I just don't like that it gets everywhere, esp since I wear a lot of black for work and it gets all over me.

Thanks I'll try again. I think its cause I'm impatient and sometimes do my make up in the car

I've heard good things about this too. And the infomercial is enticing too.
i use Mac liquid.
I've thought about trying the bare essentials but haven't

Re: Cosmetics question???
Bare Escentuals has a travel brush that you can put a heap of foundation in the bottom and just shake it to get some in the brush.. I've used it a bunch and I've never had it get all over the place.. It makes it easier then trying to open the jars and not spilling anything..
I am a big Nars fan, I have been wearing it for years. It has pretty good coverage. Laura Mercier is supposed to be very good as well.

I'm also a big Nars fan. I love all of their makeup.
if your skin is drying out, have you thought of mixing a little face lotion into your foundation? You'll get good coverage with a little more moisture

Good tip! I never thought to do that. Right now all I have in the house is mineral make up....gotta find a good liquid foundation to mix it....I'll check out NARS. THANKS!

Re: Cosmetics question???
I sometimes use laura mercier tinted moisturizer which i apply lightly with a brush (never sponge!!) i have very sensitive skin that can be dry here and there, and sometimes a little oily depending... so i find that works very well.
i also spritz my face with the evian spray after applying my makeup and before moisturizing. it works wonders for me.
and lastly, i sometimes use MAC Studio Fix powder, it goes on very light with a brush. i moisturize first and then apply the powder. either way, i'm happy with the results and since i like a very fresh, natural look, both of these deliver :o)
