Craft Corner: Has anyone done an engagement to wedding scrapbook?
I have a lot of 'stuff' that I would like to put together in a scrapbook - things like photos of the day we got engaged, photos of my shower, fabric scraps, the note from the president, our photo in the times, stuff like that... so Im wondering if anyone has ever done anything like that before.
and mimicking real scrapbook layouts in Photoshop on my PC with words and photos and spaces to glue fabric and cards to using this ink jet refill paper: Inkjet Refills
So far I can do pages about: - Day we got engaged - Bridal Shower - Bridesmaid Luncheon - Finding 'the' dress - Wedding Day
So I need some suggestions help on the following:
a) What else can I include? I'd like to make the book sort of like a journey from engagement to honeymoon but Im not sure what else I can put in there.
b) I need some elegant layouts I can use as inspiration, so please post if you have done one or have seen one.

scrapbooks
I'm preparing to do one of these for myself. I've done a few scrapbooks for my friends that have gotten married through the years. For some inspiration on some great page layout I would suggest you pick up a copy of Better Home & Garden's Scrapbook magazine. I just got this issue and the layouts are fantastic.
Did you want to have a title for each page? I was only really going to title each set of 2 pages and I was also going to get a 12 x 12 album as the smaller ones really limit what you can put on a page.

Re: scrapbooks
I am working on scrab book right now actually. We have this cute album with a bride and groom on the cover and we are including our extra pictures from the RD, wedding and Brunc (not our proofs, though). I have all of the scrapbooking supplies to cut the pictures and I am using my glue gun to adhere them. I just did one for our HM and it came out so great. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions

Re: scrapbooks
Anyone have any inspiration layouts they want to scan? I just picked up a magazine called Simple Scrapbooks and that seems to have some good ideas (the less cheesey variety).
Their website is pretty limited but I like this:

Re: scrapbooks
I am a picture fanatic, I have a picture from every event we go to, John wants to kill me when I say come on everyone time to take pics! I have started a scrapbook for John and myself that have started from the day we got engaged until the wedding day, I will have a seperate one for honeymoon. I went to ebay and got so many ideas for pages, then Michaels has all the embellishments and 3-d stickers I will post some
For bride and groom page, and I bought another dress colored it with a marker the same color as my girls dresses and put a copy of the poem I sent them
I have a magazine that I just picked up called scrapbooks etc. It's put out bi-monthly by Better Homes and Gardens. Lots of great ideas...most look like they're too complicated so I'm not sure if I want to chance it...sometimes I'm so NOT Martha Stewart...but I'll scan some of the layouts in for you guys...

Re: scrapbooks
Some of these aren't wedding related, but you could modify them: I really like this one...it's twisted wire. Cute

Stef, what about including a picture of you working on your programs, candles, etc, and placed together with a finished product... You probably can even have Luke to take 'fake' post event pictures with these....
How about having a caricature of you florist disagreements?
You also may want to include Luke somehow in your scrapbook, even if he barely participated (perhaps a shot of him looking disinterested during a photographer visit? - I am just guessing, based on Lenny's behaviour with some vendors)

Re: Craft Corner: Has anyone done an engagement to wedding scrapbook?
I made Harry a scrapbook and gave it to him at our reshersal dinner. The book was all about us and dating and vacations. I did a page with our differnet busniess cards. I saved every movie ticket stub that we ever went to, glued them all on one page and then made a list of all the movies we went to. I dont like to pat myself on the back, but it really was good!! I got so many compliments on it...but the best compliment was from HArry, he got up, thanked me infront of everyone, and teared up a little when he said no one had ever made anything like this for him. I have it packed somewhere but I will try and get it out and scan some of the pages!!

maybe in the spring...when my mom and I finally have our scrapbook room all set up, I will have a scrapping party at our house. We have lots of 'tools of the trade' that can be used.
