Craft Corner: Has anyone done an engagement to wedding scrapbook?

I have a lot of 'stuff' that I would like to put together in a scrapbook - things like photos of the day we got engaged, photos of my shower, fabric scraps, the note from the president, our photo in the times, stuff like that...
so Im wondering if anyone has ever done anything like that before.

Im thinking of using a book like this:

Kolo Newport Album

and mimicking real scrapbook layouts in Photoshop on my PC with words and photos and spaces to glue fabric and cards to using this ink jet refill paper:

Inkjet Refills

So far I can do pages about:
- Day we got engaged
- Bridal Shower
- Bridesmaid Luncheon
- Finding 'the' dress
- Wedding Day

So I need some suggestions help on the following:

a) What else can I include? I'd like to make the book sort of like a journey from engagement to honeymoon but Im not sure what else I can put in there.

b) I need some elegant layouts I can use as inspiration, so please post if you have done one or have seen one.

We will need a class to do some of those layouts. I love them.

Baldwin HS has a scrappiong class starting 3/11. And Lisa Rose, do the stores give lessons as well?

I just went to a Sunday afternoon scrapping session in Rockville Centre that was set up by someone on www.twopeasinabucket.com. WE had a great time and althougth it wasn't a class persay, I got a lot of fabulous ideas. I think she is going to hold them every month so if anyone is interested let me know and I will give you the information.

Teri: Im going to have them printed at Kinkos (most likely) since my printer could never do a good enough job and the ink alone would cost me 10x as much.

ohhh - you're always thinkin' Stef! Good idea

So now for your book, will it be entirely computer images, pictures and graphics? Or will you also have a few pages just for smaller mementos. I guess it doesn't help that I never really taken a good look at a scrapbook, so I don't know how detailed they usually are.

Most scrapbooks are all made of cut paper and embellishments....but Im going to do all computer layouts with an occasion space to glue down some items that I want to be 'real'. For example I have that congratulations card from the president...so I will measure out a space and make sure there is a computer generated matte for it. After the pages are printed, I will attach the actual card. Same thing for a copy of my invitation, one of wax seals, a copy of my program, etc...

Can you count me in on that? I would love to learn how to scrapbook, seeing as how I got one for Christmas and had intended on starting in Jan w/baby photos.

Stef, have you ever thought of being a graphic designer/photo/video editor?

Seriously, you probably could earn a living making those new magazine style photo albums!!!
