Crashing - Weight Loss Tips
Hi ladies. So I've been doing everything in my power to lose that '10 extra pounds'
have any advice on how i can drop them before my first fitting on 8/30?
i already eat EVERYTHING low fat because i have cholesterol, walk/run/bike at least 5 miles per day 5x per week
wii fit when i'm bored (and it tells me my goal weight is 10 lbs less than i actually am)
i dont eat any dairy (allergy)
try to stay away from white flour (though it's hard because i'm italian)
don't drink my calories (AT ALL) - if i have one glass of wine it is a big deal
thanks in advance ladies

Re: Crashing - Weight Loss Tips
Right before my wedding for about 2 weeks I ate only fruit during the day for breakfast, lunch, snacks and then had a regular dinner with meat and regular sides. I definitely lost about 5 - 7 lbs from doing that.

LOW LOW Carb. I just lost 6 lbs in a lil over a week.Grill as much chicken and turkey burgers as you can stand.
Chicken pepper & onion stir fry with Fajita mix (YUMM)
Tuna
Buy tons of salad (And everything that goes in it - add spinach)
Vegetables vegetables vegetables!!!
Egg white omelets with veggies (Or some of the chicken fajita mixed in)
PLAIN oatmeal with a lil Honey
Apples or plums here and there
only whole wheat bread
Don't use sugar on ANYTHING. If you are desperate for sweet, use honey
The first 2 - 3 days suck but after that you get used to it.
Won't hurt to try

yeah this is a biggie because if you have, you won't be able to burn it off during the day.
i know you don't drink your calories, but drinks tons of water and stay away from things that may dehydrate you like TEA and COFFEE or drink them sparingly.

Re: Crashing - Weight Loss Tips
this is what i did before my b-pics session.i stopped drinking anything with carbonation cuz it bloats the belly.
i drank a gallon of water every day.
cut almost all carbs. would have fruit.
i'd have a grapefruit, yogurt, carrots and cucumbers. GREEK YOGURT with lots of protein. and then i'd have chicken.
a week out i started water pills. diurex. now i mean i know they aren't awesome for you but .. whatever.
kept drinking a gallon of water a day until i was 3 days out.
the last two days i cut back on water greatly.
the day before i hardly drank at all.
i was super skinny that day. then as soon as i left i drank and ate like a beast LOL.

Re: Crashing - Weight Loss Tips
Stick with low carb meals. Instead try to up your protein and veggies. Grilled chicken and greek yogurt are two my favorite high protein foods.Watch your sodium intake (found in many frozen meals, canned foods, soup, hot dogs, etc). It can lead to water retention and bloating
Fruits are great but watch out for the sugar.
I know you said you excercise already but maybe try to switch it up a bit. When you run and bike do you do intervals? Try running as fast you can for 1 minute, then slow for two minutes, switch back and run as fast as you can for one min- this helps burn fat. Also, try to add in some resistance training- lifting weights can help increase your metabolism.

Re: Crashing - Weight Loss Tips
I think the key for you is mixing things up a bit since it sounds like you already live a very healthy lifestyle.White carbs are pretty killer. We rarely eat anything 'white' - I cook with whole wheat flour and while I can definitely taste the difference it isn't bad.
Perhaps mix up your physical activities? Despite the fact that you are active and doing A LOT of mileage your body is likely used to it.
Have you considered a workout program? If so, check out 'Insanity' on beachbody.com. It is a less intense version of p90x and it is 100% cardio using your own weight as resistance. It is only 60 days as opposed to 90 so you can get it in before your first fitting.
good luck!
