Cricut Cake? Or Mini?

Anybody have this? I think I want to get it as a gift, but $260 is the cheapest I see it.

So I was wondering where you bought it and for how much? If you like it? Is it worth it for the big one or should I just go for the mini? TIA!

Re: Cricut Cake? Or Mini?

Haha, sorry, it's a die-cut machine that's meant to be used on gum paste and fondant and icing sheets. It comes with all different cartridges with designs to use to decorate cakes.

Like this was actually created using the cricut machine!

Re: Cricut Cake? Or Mini?

wow - that's awesome! once you get it and perfect your trade you should open a wedding cake company! and then hire me to be your sous chef...or # cruncher.

anyways, I am still making friends with the kitchenaid so I am of no help to you....

Re: Cricut Cake? Or Mini?

maybe get the mini to perfect your technique and then see if you have a need for the full-size? how much of a cost-savings?

The big one is double the price! It's $300 and the mini is $150. I'm definitely just gonna get the mini for now, make sure I like it. The only difference it the size of frosting sheets you can use- the mini uses 6'x12' while the big guy uses 12'x24'.
