I got 672 proofs. I felt like ther was some missing, so I asked to see the proofs that wernet printed. We keep going back n forth, but it seems like I won't be able to see them....
My concern is proofs that wernet printed or shown to me until AFTER my album is done. What if I really like some photos that wont be able to go in my album???
And why are they doing this-why am I not able to see my OWn proofs??

Probably b/c they don't think that the other pictures are 'good' enough to show you. Chances are there might be a few that you wish you had seen, but if you have enough pictures for a nice album, isn't that all you really need? JMO.
I feel you though.... you should be able to make the decision, not them. But unfortunately that's how Duet works.

Yes, I thought there was a picture missing, and I asked them for it. They gave me two pics, but they weren't very good. I think they picked the 'good' ones. Honestly, I have MORE than enought to choose for my album.

From what I have gathered they only do not print the ones that are like out of focus or something like that.

I ordered the READ ONLY CD and there were beautiful pics that I wish were printed-and I will be using some for the album...

I got over 850 proofs from Duet, there were a few pictures I liked and thought there more so when I asked they had no problem and printed them out. And they were right they weren't anything I wanted. I would definetly ask for the read only CD, I think they will work with you.

This happened to me too. I asked for some more of specific 'points in the day'. They printed me a bunch more, but they were really just very similar versions of the ones I already had.
I think they take so many of the same moment, that if they give them ALL to you, then you have several pics that look exactly alike.

it seems that we're missing a whole bunch of photos...
there were several, but one specifically where my wife dragged her gown up the driveway at the hall at night to get some 'leaving shots' and none of those were in the proofs box.. thats one of at least a dozen
eta: the cleaners couldnt get the dirt from those shots out of her dress, so they'd better be worth looking at

Maybe your contract is different from other peoples? I mean, they told me I get a CD when I get my album. That is cool with me, b/c I am happy with my proofs. This may be something that depends on people's contracts. Maybe you signed when they did give out the 'READ ONLY' CDs and after a different date, they don't.

But they took the pics and have them, so why not just give them to you? Why hold them back? I love having many shots of each moment... and honestly each one is different. They might pick the 1 pic out of all 10 shots to print that YOU like the least...

my contract didnt say read only cd... what was included was the edited proofs-the ones that were printed already- I would not get this til after album is made-
read only was something they suggested when I told them I thought there were pictures missing...

This happened to us dealing with Patken....they do not give us the 'bad' pictures because they don't want them to ruin 'their' reputation. I asked to see the ones that were missing and they told me a bunch of crap, like they were blurry. I gave up and never asked again. We only got 420 proofs and about 30 are missing.

I agree! Why does Duet hold proofs from you, I don't understand.
