I know there have been lots of topics on it on these boards and I did a search, but here are my two questions.
A) Did you have any no shows at your wedding?
B) Did it change your relationship with that person, and as the time has gone on - have those feelings changed at all?
We had 7 people no show, one couple substitute the wife for the daughter (who was 9!) and we had a couple RSVP No just so they could show up and go to the ceremony and CH... so we had 7 1/2 people not show (if that makes sense)
One couple had a good reason (father of one of them passed away the night before the wedding), one couple only the wife came, and four people just didnt show up, no call, no nothing, one of them being someone that I gave a 'courtesy invitation' to because we all knew they would RSVP no, but they RSVP'd yes (which I kicked myself for) and then they didnt show (which I kicked myself harder for)...

We had 6 no shows. 4 of them sent us a card a few weeks after the wedding. The other 2 we have never heard from again. We also had 5 people who attending our wedding and gave nothing, not even a card. I don't hold grudges, yeh it s*cked paying for people who weren't there, but stuff happens. We had a great time at our wedding and I wouldn't let stuff like that ruin my day, or my honeymoon.

I know this is petty, but did they at least give a gift? And did it cover their plates?
We had 3 no shows. 2 of them their spouses showed and gave generous gifts. But the other never came, never gifted and DH was mad at his friend but he has slowly gotten over it.

Re: Did you have any no shows at your wedding?
We had 8 no shows, 6 of which we found out right AFTER we made our final payment. 2 were no shows the day of because of an unexpected situation. Of the 8 (all couples), two couples gave us gifts and lovely cards and their apologies. The other two couples said nothing, sent nothing, not even a congratulations card. One couple we never see and I could care less, the other couple we see on rare occasions and I do my best to be civil. I may add that these no shows were all DH's family.
I was pizzed afterwards because that was one entire table. One less centerpiece that could have been ordered. I had a gut feeling about 4 being no-shows, should have followed it. IL's went home with 8 extra dinners that evening.

We didn't have any no-shows, but we had some people that left really early (our wedding ended at 9pm, so we were really shocked when many of DH's friends left by 8 because no one lived more than an hour's drive away!).

2 A friends boyfriend A friends girlfriend What pissed me off was that they didnt call to let us know b/c after they said they knew days before and felt bad. I told them they should b/c we had to pay for them. If they told us when they knew we would not of had to pay.
No it did not change our relationship. They are actually people we are not that close with.

One of our groomsmen didn't show up. He told DH that he would try. The day before he said he'd be there and then never showed.
My cousin RSVP'd for 2, then told me that she was coming by herself, then told me 2 days before that her daughter had a cheerleading competition and she couldn't come..... She was supposed to come up to NY when we got back from our honeymoon, still waiting.
One of DH's cousins RSVP'd 2. We were initially only going to pay for him as a single but MIL said to pay for him as a double. He didn't show up, didn't call (still hasn't).
My MOH's husband didn't come either. She replaced him with her babysitter. So, I had a semi-stranger at my wedding.
