totally random--but hey---i'm your NOTW--i can do what i want!
so i always noticed a lot of bridal stuff has things like 'today i marry my best friend.....'
and i thought....my dh is totally NOT my best friend. my best friends would be my sister and that wh0rebag mrsvpt---but definitely not my DH. don't get me wrong--we are close as can be but i just don't see him as my best friend. but i know i'm probably in the minority here.
so do you think that you married your 'best friend'?

nope. I am probably the most comfortable around DH than anyone else in this world, but he's not me 'best friend.' I can't talk to him about shoes or gossip or b!tch about my family. That I reserve for my MOH & my BMs.

yep! there are plenty of things that my friends have no idea about the only DH does. But I chose for it to be that way I think. I'm a privite person with somethings and just cannot open up to friends the way i can open up to him, and he is def. that way. no one knows any of his business. I've been burned by friends before and learned my lesson (including my b!cth of a sister) so I guess thats kinda why it all falls on him poor guy!

Yes I married ONE of my bes tfriends, but I have another best friend. I don't like the 'I married my best friend' stuff. I guess it just makes me feel cheesy(no offense if anybody used it) I love Joe and we do share a lot but Beth knows more then Joe thinks she does. There is nothing like a girl best friend IMOH

i can honestly say that yes, he is my best friend, along w/ my two closest gal pals. there is absolutely nothing i don't share with him - even the gossip and shoe talk, he listens to it all, he actually loves to go shopping with me.

My 1st best friend would have to be my sister!!! And I actually consider my sister to be my soulmate!!
And I think the whole 'I Married My Best Friend' is just a common saying that people use. I'm guilty of having it on my myspace page- but like I said the honour of being my best friend goes to my sister

I agree - I wouldn't call him my best friend, but he is my confidant and the one I trust with everything.
My BF and I have known each other for 37 going on 38 years. I don't regard my sis as my BF. Our relationship is strained.

Yes, I can alwaaaaaaays biitch, moan, whine and cry to DH....so definitely I did. There is more he knows about me and that I share with them that I do not share with my friends.

DITTO. LOL. I mean yes I have other close friends but I tell DH everything. He likes hearing the gossip-even about LIW lol If I am quiet for too long he asks for updates.
Usually when something happens in my life, his is the first number I dial so def yes. Because all best friends are close and can argue as fiercely as they love. So my final answer is YUP!

DEFINITELY not!!!! Lol don't get me wrong I share plenty w/ the guy and I'm 100% comfortable around him, BUT there's a few reasons why I could never say he's 'my best friend'. First off, I'm WAY too detail oriented for him, when I'm telling him about my day, he needs the bare minimum!! My bf Mimi, my cousin and my sis get all the insignificant details (almost toooooo detailed lol)……other ways he's not 'my best friend' is shopping- I do all of it solo including grocery shopping, we are just two different types of shoppers, so that's just something we know we go our separate ways with!! I know people say as husband & wife you're 'best friends' as far as bonding & your closeness, sure you are, but all the other territory I consider to go along w/ having a 'best friend' he totally doesn't fit that description for me! That doesn't mean we don't have fun together or enjoy each other, its just a different kind of closeness than w/ my gf's.
