Did you send a Christmas Card to everyone who came to your wedding??

We didn't. We're sending a card to most of them, but not all. Just curious what everyone else is doing.

Last year (our first married christmas) we sent to more people then normal but not everyone we invited. This year it was just to the regular people.

Nope, nope, nope. I only send Christmas cards to people who I consider friends and who I think will appreciate the thought. Family members that I never see dont get cards, neither do hubbys friends that would not even understand why I sent out Christmas cards.

During the christmas season that IMMEDIATELY followed our wedding (2001), I did send a Christmas card to everyone that attended our wedding. I didn't do it for any particular reason - except maybe b/c I knew I had everyone's current address!

In more recent years, I have pared my list down a bit, and left off friends who have moved away/fallen out of touch and relatives who aren't very close to our daily lives.

So, my question is - how is it that I STILL have about 65-70 christmas cards to address each year???

Roger gave me a list of about 50 people, I was like, who is going to write all that and why are we sending them cards, are you crazy I said I only ordered 40 and I only have 2 more left. I got a box of regular cards from Walgreen if you want to write them up and give them to me to mail I will gladly do it, but I am not writing cards to everyone that attended. Its always so easy to find more work for others

When I asked Roger why I should send it to this girl and her FI, his response was, she is my friend...LOL mind you he could not even remember the child's name to tell me, but he wanted to send her a card I was like, she is not on my list

I hand made my cards this year (stamping up way) so I only made 35 that is it!!! I only mailed to close friends and close realitives!

We had 190 people at our wedding, so no. We just sent to usual friends and close family and that is it.

I think I sent out too many. I sent to the usual close friends and family, but then I also sent to some relatives that I never see except for weddings and funerals. My DH had a lot of people on his list--way more than I did. We are sending out almost 40 cards.

Next year I'm going to cut it WAY down and send only to those who sent me a card this year, and the usual close friends and family.

I felt like I was doing my Thank Yous all over again!!

i didn't send any at all. i hate doing them. besides i just saw everyone 3 months ago at the wedding so they all know i'm alive and well

Last year we sent to everyone on the wedding list and then some - in part so everyone would have our new address.

This year, we're doing the same, but it's partly because DH's large family is close, and those on our wedding list were close to one of us in some way - we didn't have the extended parents friends or work obligations on the list. I think there were less than a dozen people on DH's side out of about 120 that I hadn't met at the time of the wedding.

Next year, we'll pare the list down a bit, since it was at about 150 Easiest way to get DH to cut the list a bit it to tell him how much we spent on cards and postage !
