I still have not got around to changing my name yet but I am hyphenating my name. That is what I put on my marriage license.

Yup. I couldn't wait. My maiden name was hard to pronounce for everyone and no one knew that it was Spanish. Now I have a very lovely Irish last name [which is the other half of my heritage] that is easy to pronounce!

definately I couldn't wait either -- people always screwed up my maiden name. now I have a nice and easy Italian name that I don't think anyone could butcher if they tired, phew

I still use my own but mostly I hypanate it. I havent (and prob. will never) change my SSN or Drivers license..that it will always be my madien name

I took DH's last name. I am a traditionalist in that way, and I used to hate the way that people would butcher my old last name.

I'm the same way... Changed my name right away.

Telecom STILL hasn't changed my phone at work though

I definitely took his last. It was a little bit better than my maiden.

I kept my name...but his family seems to think i took it..everything sent from them says Mrs. HisName... Even the police put his last name down as an 'alias'...i wanted to scream & say my name is MyLastName damnit!
Our drycleaner & vet have been calling me Mrs. HisName for years before we were even engaged...oh well...i love my last name & plan on having THAT one on my headstone... For the record Dh had no problem with me keeping my name & actually encouraged it.

I plan on taking it. I have been married 3 weeks...i'll get there. I feel i still have time.

i def took, i would never have thought not to take it , i got my last name change 3 weeks after we got married, i like seeing stuff to mr and mrs

Kept my maiden name. DH and I are from different cultural backgrounds and I wanted to retain a visible reminder of my heritage.

i haven't gotten around to legally changing everything, but i do go by 'Mrs DHslastname'
