yearly? I haven't had my yearly in like 2 years. And before that I never used to go reguarly. I went for an exam like 2 times. I found a new doctor since I didn't like my old one and I have an appointment tonight. I hate, hate going to the gyno. How bad is it if I cancel and just wait to go back to the obgyn when I get pregnant..

Like clockwork. I go to all of my doctors like clockwork, am never late.
The OB/GYN gives me anxiety like you wouldn't believe, and I take Xanax before I go ... but I do! Luckily I just went at the end of June so have 11 months until I have to worry about it again!
ETA I can't tell you how important it is to go for your annual EVERYTHING! I won't preach about it, but it's very important and is one of the most proactive things you can do for yourself and your health!

i go yearly for the pap test and every 6 months for a blood pressure checkup since im on the pill.

I go every year. It is very important to get a pap test annually. Cervical cancer is very curable b/c it is generally slow growing but without a pap test there is no way to identity if there is a problem. I think you should just go to your appointment tonight. One appointment every 12 months is not so bad ...also it is important to make sure everything is OK before you start TTC.

I go twice a year. I have to, because the found some precancerous cells a few years back. Thankfully, everything's been in the clear since they were removed, but I still need to go twice a year for five years total, just to make sure it's all gone and not coming back.
It's super important. Just go; the amount of time they're looking at you in your girly bits and sticking the q-tip thingy up there is literally less than the length of a regular commercial break during your favorite show. It's mad quick! (Someone told me that once, and it's my point of reference for when I'm laying there and my doctor is all up in the biz-ness...it seriously calms me down)

GO!! This is SOOOO important...I know it's awful and not what you'd like to be doing but it is SOOO SOOO important to go and make sure all is well!

I go 2x a year.......you might not thinks Its that important but I'd anything ever happens you will be kicking yourself for not going regularly. .......believe me I learned the hard way.

I go to the gyn every 6 months (this just reminded me to make an appt)
I go to my primary care every 3 months for a b/p check (I have high blood pressure).
and once a year for a boobie squooshing (they say you should start going at 40 but my dr recommends it starting at 35)

My old dr said once a year was fine. She retired. My next dr said she didn't agree with that and recommends every 6 months. I was on BCP with both of them so that wasn't the issue. I also don't get a pap every six months - just once a year, so quite frankly I never understood why the change from once a year to every six month - I always though they wanted more $$ from my insurance co.
Once a year...I take bcp so I need to get my new prescription every year. If it wasn't for that, I probably wouldn't be as dedicated to it...but it is still good to go once a year.
