yes i have one. i put my spare change in it. it is a animal cracker jar from costco. i usually don't use change, but use a dollar and then put all the extra change in the jar. last time it was a !/4 full and it was $400. we used it for some of the tips for the wedding.

Yup. I even bought an automatic coin thingie (sorts coins into the wrappers) and yet I still am too lazy to do it and then put it in the bank.
You don't need to roll them! Go to TD Bank. It's free!

Re: Do you have a piggy bank?
Joe puts all of his change in a price club pretzel container. Unfortunately he never gets as much as he would like from it. He always thinks he has millions.....I cashed it in for him one time before we were engaged because he joked it was my ring fund and there was about $150. I like to use my change.

Yes, well actually its this black leather treasure type box. Dh and I both put our change in there. And he makes sure I put mine bc he'll ask for the change in my bag lol. We cash it in when it fills up and use it towards whatever we need at the moment. I had read about this couple that would cash it in every month and pay off certain bills with it, so i plan on doing that now. MOST of the time though we use it on groceries for some reason

Its a machine in the middle or to the side in the bank. Its called the Penny arcade. It has a tray and you just throw in all the change in the tray and it counts it for you and then after it prints out a receipt and you go to a teller and they give you the amount on the receipt. You don't have to be a member, they just give you the cash. I always cash it in this way, its fast and easy.

you are too funny you throw it away?? Isnt that illegal? I mean, sure who will know, but still. Save it and bring it to TD bank's change machines and give it to charity or something.
Ok, Ok, I have thrown away a penny or two in my life, but it was either crusty or sticky or too stuck on a jolly rancher for a store to take it as legal tender.

I am also going to admit it... I pick up change on the ground.. Pennies if they are heads up and I see them first (not if someone else points it out), and any kind of silver change,... pending I wont be in anyones way, or ran over by a bike/car/stroller/group of people... etc!

Kim, don't lie, you know you have caused 10 car pile-ups over a pennie.
I've done the same w/ picking up pennies.
Find a penny, pick it up, then all, you'll have good luck. Pass it to your closest friend and then your luck will never end

Clearly that would have been the thing to do. That way Kathryn would havegone through your trash so she could have made $500
