Does anyone actually SAVE money? (like on a regular basis)

I remember saying that once the wedding was over, we were going to start putting the same amount into savings that we used to put toward the wedding.

Why isn't that happening...at all?

we deposit money into an account every month and no money comes out of it.
It isn't allt hat much money - but it's starting to build up...

We save as much money as we can every month. We have $ automatically deducted from our accounts to go into savings as well. I've lived without that $ for so long, I hardly miss it!

we just paid off a bunch of debts, so all that extra money is back in our pockets!! It's a total of 500-700 hundred dollars a month!!

We put a few hundred $ into savings via direct deposit every pay period.

Do you have a 401k set up? Or an IRA? This is very important as well as having a savings acct.

I do. I put 6% into my 401K and my company matches 3% of that.

I also have $500 per year in an FSA account...stil need to save more $$$ though...

Before the wedding, I saved every cent like crazy! Now, unfortunately, I have no money to save. I only have back up money (very little) that I leave in my checking account in case my car needs to be repaired. I would be saving every cent if I could tough!
