Does anyone else's hubby do this with home improvement projects?

Do any of your 'dear hubbies' drive you nuts with home improvement projects? Anthony can do anything..he is an electrician but can do basically anything you ask him to but when it comes down to it hes always telling me that the job is soooooooooo easy and then hes working on it for days and days. All i hear is cursing and oh i hit a problem and it drives me nuts. It has come to the point where I dont like him to start things cause I know he will tell me they are easy projects and I know they will turn into these 5 day jammies.

Hes awesome and I am grateful to have a man who likes to work but he drives me bonkers..I just wish he would say sometimes..yeah hun this is a big job..but its like it would take his manhood away if he ever admitted it!

Maybe your hubby and my hubby are long lost brothers! LOL!

Matt involves his dad and his brother in every project so I get to hear the 3 of them fighting amongst themselves and cursing! Always a treat for me!

Rather than hiring a professional, my husband swore he would paint and fix the stairs leading downstairs to the basement on his own...one year later, the new paint brush/equipment he bought has yet to be used.

I know the grass is always greener but I wish my husband was like this. He cant do very much in the way of handy work and everything costs a fortune to have a pro do it. Even if it takes a long time, think of all the money you are saving

I grew up with my father doing that (I was always by his side...the son he never had. ) That's probably one of the things that attracted me to my FH!

They always get the job done in the end though!

Re: Does anyone else's hubby do this with home improvement projects?

OMG girls, this is the story of my life right now!

My DH is a great carpenter. He was in the union before he became a cop. He also knows electric work and plumbing. He can't stand sitting around doing nothing, so he's ALWAYS tinkering with something.

The MAJOR project is the house! We're still not living together because he's renovating the house!! We're married two months and it's still not finished!! He started it LAST fall, and we were sure it would be done before the wedding. NOPE.

I always joke with him and tell him I'm going to spend the rest of my life in a construction zone with those orange cones all over my house! He assures me it's not true. I hope not!! LOL!!!
