How and where i can get a certified copy of my marriage certificate??
i need a new passport asap for a my cruise this summer and it said i can mail to original or a certified copy, i rather get the certified copy...
anyone know how??

probably the same place you got it the first time. They send the cert back if you send the original for the passport. Just like you did with your birth cert.

I actually sent in my original copy and they sent it back to me with the passport in a couple weeks.. there were no problems! Not sure where you can get a certified copy

When I did passport renewal, I had to mail my original certificate-I got it back within a week or 2.
I also did the 'rush order' and got my new passport back a few days after my certificate was mailed back.

I just ordered another copy of our marriage certificate and they send you an exact duplicate. You need to send them the original, but I was too scared to send them my only copy so I ordered the 2nd copy. It only cost about $25 extra I think.

forget that! im just going to send my original! i already have to pay $75 for a new passport...not paying $25-30 for a copy of the marriage licnence! lol

This is prob my last thing I have to do for my name change. And its all bc Im afraid to mail them my original certificate and dont know how to get a certified copy. Did you girls do anything like send your certificate by certified mail to make sure you knew who and when they recieved your marriage certificate? Or you just sent it and recieved your new passport with no problems?

I just sent mine in last week. I sent the original, and sent it with delivery confirmation. I just tracked it, and it arrived to the PO box on Friday, just as it said it would. I'm anticipating having it in the next few weeks. Last year when I got my original passport, I got it back in 2 weeks, and I sent my original birth certificate so I'm not really too worried.
