Re: Does you DH
My DH goes out of town with his guy friends probably twice a year. He does an annual trip to Missouri in the Spring to do some weird hunting/camping thing, and the past couple of years they've taken trips out to Las Vegas.
Honestly, it doesn't bother/worry/frustrate me at all that he does this. I love to hear all their stories and how happy he is when he comes back from a weekend away with the guys. I just hate how bored I am when he's not home. Plus he's really good when he's away as far as staying in touch with me and letting me know that he's thinking about me.

DH goes hunting for a week each year. They're in the middle of nowhere so I don't have to worry about him doing anything (not like he would anyway).
How do I feel about it? I luv it. I was actually annoyed that he didn't go this year---I really like the time to myself. It's relaxing!

He rarely goes out and he hates being away from home overnight. Im all for it though. If he ever wants to go away with the guys its cool with me.
mines the same way. well he would go out when stationed in San Diego and in Japan to the bars with teh guys. I didn't care (well I couldn't tell him sit in his room and not do anything while I go out with girlfriends here at home). But I never cared. And when he does come home he never wants just a guys night or weekend because we never get to see each other and he always wants to spend his time with me there as well. He likes doing 'couples' things like going places with our friends as couples.
I am going to try and encourage him to go on a couple guys nights or go skiing with his friends when he comes home for good. He deserves it and we now have all the time in the world together.

He hasn't yet. He can go wherever he wants with his friends, even if it's a vacation...he's entitled to live too!

Re: Does you DH
Not in years, when we first started dating there were a few guy trips, and I did a few trips of my own too, but we'd honestly rather be together than with other people, call us anti-social or just whipped, that's just how we like it.
Honestly, we barely can afford our own vacations let alone a trip with friends. If he could afford a guys trip, I'd be like, where's the diamond tennis bracelet I've been wanting?

dh just came back today from AC. I dont mind, sometimes i like it but only bc i really end up missing him and each time you are apart really makes you realize how much they are a part of your life, and its great when you see eachother

No, I wouldn't be okay with it and if I did the same I know he wouldn't either. I see that more of a single's lifestyle (DH thinks the same). I understand a night with the boys but I don't agree on having your spouse sleeping anywhere but home....unless either one needs to travel for business...but in this case neither of us travel bc of work.

Re: Does you DH
My DH doesn't exactly go away, but he is in a band that works late at night out east. He will be in the studio sometime till like 4am. So then he either crashes at his friends nearby apartment or comes home. But he does stay there probably half the time. It doesn't bother me too much. I'd rather he be home sleeping next to me, but its his work. Its not like he is out with strippers or something. LOL. And when it is bad weather Im happy knowing he isn't coming home so I dont have to worry about him driving! Cus thats the thing that bothers me most is worrying about him driving because Im afraid he will get too tired. So I sleep better when he says he wont be home till morning.

Re: Does you DH
Every few months, DH goes upstate to a friends cabin to go paintballing. He may actually be going in two weeks.
It doesnt really bother me at all, because I've been invited to go and I have no desire in paint balling so I let him have his own fun alone. That being said, if he went often to AC or Vegas without me, I'd be upset, because its something I would want to do with him. But I think its important to have that space every once in a while

Im probably the odd one out here, but DH and i dont do overnights. Its just kind of been a thing since we've been together. Neither of us want to, and neither of us would like it if the other one did. I mean, i guess if there was something that one of us really wanted to do , it might be different , but the situation hasnt arised yet. My friends are married with kids, some of his are too, no one really does any kinds of trips like that unless its couples. I always encourage DH to do a night out with the boys, and he would never care if i went out with the girls for the night, but thats where it ends

same here, we just don't want to be apart....and it never has come up really either - our friends are all attached and saving money for houses and stuff so nobody really does trips like that anymore.....i have gone away to florida without DH though - but to visit my family - that doesnt really count and if he was going away to visit his family that wouldn't be a problem for me at all - but we dont believe in 'vacations' without eachother - i dont like it and neither does he so it works out - at least we both feel the same way about it.....an overnight thing probably wouldnt be such a huge deal - like if one of us went to AC for the night BUT i can bet that we would decline the invitation anyway - we rather go away together than apart hahahaha
