Do any of you ladies have recommendations for reputable Boxer or Lab breeders in the tri-state area (within a couple of hours of NYC)? DH and I just started looking into getting a puppy (we read Labs for Dummies).
We started with the breeders listed on the National Lab Club web site and one said 1500 and another said 1700...that seems really high!! Are there different breeders for 'pet' pure breds as opposed to show dogs?
I would love to get a Boxer and any recco's for local breeders would be great too!

If you want there is an adoption event tomorrow at the Petco in Clinton, CT. They already have a dozen labs going. Plus, there are awesome outlets right there lol.

i have a boxer but i got her from a breeder in south carolina... but if i were to get another i would definitely use a boxer rescue rather than a breeder
