I have a B.S. in Information Science and an M.B.A. with an emphasis on Information Technology.

ETA: Sorry - I just finished reading the entire thread. I'm in a totally different boat as I don't have any children & I was single when I went back for my MBA, so I can't really comment on that based on personal experience. I do know many women who have managed to juggle work and their children somehow, so I think that you can definitely do it if it's something that you really want; but that being said, I wouldn't go back just for the sake of going back. It's going to be a lot on you, so definitely make sure it's something that you want...a lot easier said than done, I know

On another note, over the past year I have seen a lot of your artwork posted and it's been phenomenal stuff! Have you considered something like Graphic Design? I've known a few Marketing Dept's this past year that were looking for really creative graphic artists...

I know nothing about graphic design and have considered design school (when my son was about 2 1/2) but I just wimped out. The art world, graphic art world especially is SO COMPETITIVE and I'm afraid I just dont think too highly of my talent. Not sure I could handle it.

I dont know WHY I can't just be who I am... I feel like I have to be SOMETHING. People would remind me that I'm a mother and a good one... but for some reason it isn't enough.

damn my mother for being so brilliant and so educated, instilling that need for more in me...

I just feel lost most of the time.

I dont make a lot of money, enough to support myself before my husband came along... but it's not alot... I have a GREAT job though, I come and go as I please and it's very fleible/ non stressful... lots of free time in the office. I just feel like I need to have a CAREER.

i dont know why.

sorry for rambling. touchy subject.

So far, only high school. However, I'm only 20 & I'm now half way to my associates at Nassau. I plan to go on to nursing school & then hopefully become a certified nurse midwife.

I feel like I'm going to be in school FOREVER. I'm only part-time right now because I'm working & raising a kid. I'm so ready to be done

I assure you... you will NOT be in school forever.

ahhhhh to be 20 again.

PhD in molecular biology and biochemistry

post doctorate in translational neuroimaging

now I'm a non-matriculated grad student and jr faculty in neurobiology

I swear I'll never get to finally stop classes. After 17 years of higher education I'm soooo ready to retire my notebook!

I have my BA from an Ivy... but that's it. I took the LSAT and wanted to go to law school but by then I was REALLY tired of school

With all the bills and debt we have now (and not being able to live off of just one salary), going back to school is not something I'm thinking about just now. Maybe down the line.

thats one thing I'm thankful for... not having any student loans. I went to a state school so my parents paid for that & I work for a University now, so I get tuition remission should I continue with grad school.

You can always go to law school later down the road.

yeah she could could get her RN, then become a nurse practitioner, and then get specialty training and participate in medical research if she is masochistic enough to want to do that, that would take another 12 years +....

don't be crazy like me.... accomplish your goal and then STOP!

I jst had a scary thought... if SHE continued with school for the next 12 years she would STILL be younger than I am now.

I have my BA in Astronomy-Physics, MA in Physics and am currently working toward my PhD in Nuclear Physics. Got about 3 more years to go. I hope to become a professor and actually plan to start having kids before I graduate. The program is really flexible and I would be able to work a lot from home.

very impressive! you sound like brookhaven material Are you there now? I post-doc'ed there. the federal bureaucracy is but the faculty are AMAZING. they could build a laser out of chewed gum, a paperclip, and belly button lint

I have an AAS in Retail Business Management

My company will pay for me to get my Bachelors in Business Management and I am about 75% there, I am just really lazy and haven't gone back.. no wait, I am not lazy, I just think that Adelphi is really expensive and it's so close to me that I definitely AM being lazy in terms of finding a less expensive school
