Etiquette Question for Newlyweds...help!

My wedding is in 2 months, but I have gotten a few cards with checks from the people who have replied no.

My question is: Do I send a thank you card now....or wait until after the wedding?? What is proper?

I would send them now so the sender knows you received the gift. Plus 2 months is too long to wait on a thank you.

If they are attending the wedding I would send another TY with a picture if you are sending pics.

I sent mine after because I wanted to send a photo thank you like the others who did attend our wedding.

It happened to us too a week before the wedding. Since they were all close relatives from out of state, and it was only 2 or 3 checks we called them to thank them. We deposited the checks 3 weeks later with the rest of them, when we came back form the HM.

Etiquette says to send them out as you receive gifts. But if I received some really close to the wedding I just included their TY with the rest of the wedding TY.

Some folks I sent them a TY without a picture. Those that were family or people I knew well I sent a picture to after the wedding as well.

If the gifts are this far out -- yes, I would absolutely send a TY. They'll be happy to know that you at least received their gift.

I would definately send them out now and after the wedding if they were someone you would like to give a picture too, send one of the wallets with a nice note.

Send the TY card now and you can always send a photo in your holiday card to them or even after the wedding.

I made a cut off of 3 weeks before the wedding...

before I would send one out right away...after...I would wait so I could send a pic

I waited til after so that I could send a thank you with a pic. Either way is fine, it depends on how badly you want to send a pic.

I sent a quick note of thanks and then sent them another Thank You with a picture card. It never hurts to say Thank You twice.
