$$ exchange help
We are going to DR in June. We are staying in a all inclusive so the amount we would need would be minimal. Is it better to use cash, convert to pesos, or use a credit card (from what I read Capital one does not charge fees, although they may exchage at a higher rate)

Re: $$ exchange help
they love american $$!!unless you plan on hanging out in the bars in town (do NOT), the only reason you need cash is for tips within the resort- and for that, they love cash. Also, your driver will usually love it as well. dont even bother losing $$ on the exchange rate.
hey barb- DR isnt a civilized place??

Re: $$ exchange help
cayo somethingmen were trying to look up my dress.. like literally bending over it was sick
then a bunch of kids tried selling us shells while some other kids were swarming us trying to open dh's bag to steal his cam... they werent even slick about it
we left for our safety cuz if he punched a kid out he wouldve been thrown in jail and that wouldve been a wrap!

Re: $$ exchange help
Thanks!!Honestly I would be nervous about cruise docking in general. You never know when you are going to be dumped somewhere crazy!!
For the $$ we are spending on AI we are not leaving the resort unless it is on a excursion or something

they go away if you give them a dollar. when we park the car in the 'bad' neighborhood, the kids come to you and tell you that you have to pay them so they can 'watch' your car to make sure nothing happens to it
