so i want to wear my extensions for my bil's wedding sat but i dont know how to put them in without seeing them. the girl that does my hair regularly tried but u could see them and they came loose. they are the ones that have the little combs on the end that you snap open and closed. i dont know where to place them on my head , on top of the hair or underneath since the extensions r longer than my hair, whether to curl my hair first and then put them in and curl them or put them in first and then curl everything... i have until sat to figure this out. anyone know how to use these?

Re: extensions
hmm. i think im confused by what youre having a hard time with. heres a few tips i can think of...
make sure you tease the area of hair before you put the clip-in in it. do that for each section. it holds much better!!! don't put them up too high on your head, use that top flap of hair to conceal them. if youre going for a curly look...curl the clip-ins, place them all in and then curl the rest of your hair. or, wait, i guess you could do that either way...i believe my hair dresser curled my hair first, curled the extensions and then put them in. you just need to place them evenly throughout your hair. i would try having someone else put them in if you try again and have problems. roseanna amador from cosmoNY put mine in. maybe you could try the person who did your hair on your wedding day??

Re: extensions
nicole dangio did my hair for my wedding and i dont want to have her do it because 1, im sure she has another wedding that day, and 2, i dont want to spend so much money since i am just wearing my hair down and curly; i just need to make sure these things are in right. the hard time i am having is that when the girl that tried to do my hair for the wedding i have this weekend, you could see the extensions ; i guess because they were too far up on my head and they were falling out for some reason.. so i have to i guess ask nicole; she is supposed to email me directions to give to the other girl thats doing my hair the day of, so im waiting for that

i see what youre saying. like i said, try teasing the section of hair before cliping it in so it will stay better and also not doing it up too high so you can use your top flap of hair to cover the clip ins.

Re: extensions
I put them in myself...Start from the bottom and pin the rest of your hair up so it doesnt get in the way...Tease the section of hair you are putting the clip on, you can also add some hair spray on that section for better hold, make sure you dig the comb in deep until its secure. Then continue doing each section.
As far as curling and what to do first, i tried the curling the clip ons first and i dont recommend it, bc then when you put it in your hair and try to curl the rest it can get messy picking all the hair in between. The best way is to put it in your hair and then curl it all together...NOW what you do is make the top part of the hair a little poofy not bad poofy lol, but tease it a little bit mostly underneath and then gently straighten the top part a bit...same with the side of your hair if you have the one comb clip on for the sides, make the side come out a little bit more...Here ill show you my hair curled with clip ons and how its done
thanks so much denise!!! i am going to try it now!! lol. but where exactly on your head do u place them? like top of head, middle of head or bottom, all the way underneath all of your hair?

i do all 3 lol the bottom part, middle and top, how many sections do you have, i put in like 4. So actually its like one on the bottom, 2 in the middle and one on top, you can do 3 though. you cant do it all the way underneath bc you wont have hair to attach it too and it will slip off. When you section off your hair, like for example when you start at the bottom do it right above the balls of your head(do you know what i mean lol) just put it on top of that section. So feel your head right where the balls are try to section that part off by putting most of your hair pinned up and making a straight line across, kind of the way you do when you part your hair and tease the top part and just clip it on top of the teased part, you can try to do it in the middle of the teased part but if its too hard to do dont worry about.
No problem and good luck, you just have to play around with it until you get it right

lmao im sitting here feeling my head like a lunatic trying to figure out where the balls of my head are. hahahaha. i think i know where u r talking about. i have two long sections with two combs on them and two narrow pieces i guess for the sides? i just feel like now that im trying to put them in, even if i get them to look decent, they are so much longer than they were the day of the wedding; thats what makes me think they are too low. but if i put them higher up where the length looks l ike it did the wedding day, which is all the way on the top of my head, then u can see them in the back of my head. my hair is very thin and straight, so its hard to get enough hair to cover it good. so i dont know what to do, maybe ill just cut them so they look better.

yeah mine showed ALOT even when it was curled bc i had them up high on my head. The only thing is to tease the top a bit and make it come out the way i did, you can see it more in the 1st and 2nd pic...it was annoying at first and ihad to play around with it quite a bit to cover it so it wont show.
