First Anniversary Cake question???

OK, So our first anniversary is Saturday. We are going away the following morning to Jamaica. DH's parents are away and we are crazy busy with work, packing and life....would it be horrible if we waited to have our frozen wedding cake (which I am sure tastes lovely) 2 weeks after our anniversary or do you think it is bad luck? We want to have dinner with our parents and then have it together, but that can't happen on our actual anniversary, it has to happen at a later date. Should we just have it on our anniversary together or wait? What do you think?

That's too bad! One of my BM's is a pastry chef and baked/made our wedding cake and she baked an extra piece and put it in our freexer on our wedding day so it never even came to the RH. Thanks though. I just need reassurance that I am not totally jinxing myself!!!

i dont think it would be bad luck at all. but i am glad to hear that there are other people out there who saved their cake. dh thinks im crazy for saving it. men, what do they know?

my mom accidently forgot to freeze it when we came home so the next day it was really gross so we threw it away- well just have to get a mini cake thats similar to the one we had on our wedding and take it from there
